i find the common trope that financially stable men cheat annoying & tired. like broke men don't cheat on women everyday? cheating is a character issue, not a financial one.
@orrsangels23952 жыл бұрын
She never said broke men don’t cheat. According to the data, most men who make a lot of money tend to be less monogamous because the they have more options to beautiful women than men who are broke. Kelvin Samuels already told us that high value men don’t cheat, they exercise their options. She’s is not addressing the small percentage of men who are the exception to the rule.

@@orrsangels2395 no. a multi-millionaire may have an increased chance of infidelity, not a man making 100k a year. idk about the rest of the country, but in many states 100k alone is not enough to have a stay at home wife much less to even buy a home for her to stay in. it's not this grand number that puts you in a socioeconomic class where cheating is now something your partner should expect from you. the same men that were cheating when they were making 60k/yr will be the same men cheating after they get their promotion. like i said: it's a character issue. "men 6ft plus have more options than shorter men, and more access to beautiful women, so if you want a man 6ft + are you prepared to share him??" same reasoning. all nonsense. a silly talking point used to discourage black women to not prioritize a man's capacity to provide for a household when dating for marraige. anytime a woman wants to date within her own socioeconomic class, the immediate follow up question should not be whether or not she is open to polygamy. black people are the only ones who do this, and yes, i blame kevin samuels.

@@ceemeemo7658 here you go… taking what I said out of context. And don’t put me in it because I didn’t not Divulge my standard because it’s none of y’all business. I am adding to the content of Kendra’s Statement. Y’all are so focus on that all men cheat when it has nothing to do with the content of this video. I can go on and on and on about outliers. The more money a man makes the more he has access to the kind of women he wants. My point is that we forget that men do not hold us to the same standards we hold them. I stop listening to single women a long time ago about their standards and what they want… because they are keeping single women single. I only take advice from married women who has proof to back up their point of views…And I definitely started listening to what men what from us and not women telling me what men want. The issue is not wanting a man who makes 100k and up… it’s that those men do not care about a woman’s salary or her being equal to him. So her reason to only want a man that makes that much because she does… doesn’t mean that she’s going to get the things that matter regarding character, Monogamy, respect, and so forth. Her last relationship was with a man who wanted an allowance… the money is not the problem, her choice of men is. Men are tired of y’all only reducing them to money as a qualifying factor that they are worthy or good enough for y’all. That’s all I got to say!

We enjoy each other, bills are paid, and I haven't mowed grass, pumped gas, fixed anything around the house in 8 years even though I can. Having a partner to share in the struggles and triumphs is most important to me. We do remember being flat broke together and going to yard sales to make it. Now we make over 100k together and have acquired some property and such, but if it all goes away today, I will still be with him.. I know I have gold and so does he. Oh, 100k is not much nowadays anyway. It matters that if I'm down, he will be there and vise versa. He helps with household stuff and works to pay bills too. We both have each other back. He rubs my feet and I rub his. And he's easy on the eyes!!

The issue is that men who make 6 figures don't choose women based on their income. I am a professional who makes well into the 6 figures and I would choose an attractive Starbucks coffee barista who makes $30k a year over her. In the eyes of men, she's the equivalent of a man making minimum wage when you assess her based on the qualities that MEN look for. And you need to understand what men look for unless you plan on dating women. Ask any successful man if he would choose a below average looking woman who makes $250k or an attractive woman who makes $30k. 99% of high earning men will happily go with the super attractive woman making $30k.

Coming from a family of professional athletes and scientists banking way over six figures I have to disagree with this notion that all men that are successful are just shallow and only care about looks. Not everyone is looking for eye candy. Eye candy doesn't guarantee loyalty, maturity, being a quality wife or mother. The idea that anyone with money is seeking a 10 in the looks department is just false. Not to mention that the highest divorce rate and cases of infidelity are from those that are financially struggling. When you're making a lot you have a lot more to lose which is why most are a little more cautious with their choices. When Kendra speaks of "the men I know" she's speaking about those in the industry and that's a whole different ball game. I'm living in a building at the Navy Yard where rent starts at 4k up to 10k and the wives that I do see are looking regular-degular... peeling off in their Panameras. (with the exception of this one asian chick who dresses up just to pick up the mail lol) I just feel like you shouldn't ask for what you can't provide yourself. If a woman is asking someone to match what she brings to the table, why is that so crazy? Especially if she's willing to date outside her race where the pool of men in her tax bracket is much larger. Now I will admit, adding kids to the equation does make it difficult depending on the man. It is unfortunate for both men and women that you are deemed less appealing in the world of dating if you have children. I just feel like the outrage wouldn't be there if a 6 figure man asked a woman to match him. Not to mention there are far more black women that could match that salary.

Both of the men that called are perfect examples of what I mean. They said she was rude, what she said was disgusting blah blah blah and it's like why? Because she has standards? I don't hear the same energy when white women say they want men that make a certain amount of money, and I definitely don't hear the same criticism when black men are saying that women who look the opposite of them are their preference. In fact both of those men said she's pretty "in her own way" meaning neither of them think she's truly beautiful. The first guy even said she doesn't have the looks to get a man that makes that type of money. I was just like according to who? You? Like what would a woman have to look like in your opinion in order for her to get a man with money? I'm surprised Kendra didn't call that out and ask the same question but I think we all know the answer to that. I'm really glad that Jamaican woman is open to dating men outside her race because it's very clear she will not get what she's looking for in her own community cuz they don't believe she deserves it based on how she looks.

I am responding to Ashley and the other replies. I've been married 35+ years, and I have a daughter that I'm trying to help navigate the current relationship environment. Kendra was only trying to introduce some statistical facts about the market. I have explained to my daughter, that because men control relationships, they are often the customers when it comes to marriage. Of course, not all the time, but statistically we can say the majority of the time. Understanding this fact, you can't make the customer buy the product if they don't want to. The unfortunate thing is that successful marriages are only successful when both people want it to work. Now this is my opinion, women find a man that they think they are good for, and they spend a bunch of time trying to mold that into what they want him to be, and when they get tired of trying to change them, they file for divorce. This is why women initiate divorce some 70 to 80 percent of the time. For the ones that have children out of wedlock, those women have unprotected sex, and when they get pregnant, they hope that the pregnancy makes the man do the right thing. When the man doesn't marry them, they are often upset. Kendra was just trying to shed light on some realities about the market.

I swear, I feel like I’m living in an alternate universe. That woman said she usually dates men that make less money and they use her for her money, so she wants someone that makes a similar amount as her. As a high earning woman, I can attest that she’s right. It’s not like she’s a low wage woman asking for a well off man. These men calling talking about she was “disgusting” are triggered for absolutely no reason…but we all know, a hit dog will always holler. I don’t understand how a man can say he wants to be with multiple women who are fit, young, pretty but he’s a freaking INSTACART driver and the man receives less pushback. To see all these black women telling another black woman that she needs to LOWER her standards to pull out a seat at HER TABLE for a BROKE MAN IS ASININE. Also Kendra asked her if she dated a millionaire before. Kendra brought it up. Oh and NEWSFLASH - BROKE MEN CHEAT TOO. BOOM! If you live in the DMV area, LA, NY or any other high cost area of living, 100k might only put you in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment. She just wanted a man with his OWN money, Kendra asked the amt. Can't knock someone for their preference. It's not right. Kendra was looking at her sideways from the time the call started. This woman talking about people shouldn’t have to settle lol, baby girl it’s not settling. Kendra’s probing the whole money thing because it’s become very common for people to have these superficial standards without considering what they actually come with. She asks everyone the same questions all of the time.
@summerrain6125 Жыл бұрын
@bronxkies right. The girl initially seemed composed and made a good point of hey Kendra why don't respect someone's standards. But then she wouldn't even let Kendra explain her perspective. The girl interpreted Kendras questioning as questioning the woman's worthiness and telling her to settle when perhaps Kendra is asking, as you stated, to consider your potentially superficial standards and why you want them? Do you want that bc that will make you happy and lead to a good relationship or do you want that for superficial reasons? Encouraging people to think critically about their dating choices and standards isn't the same as encouraging settling. If the woman said she wants someone who is financially independent and financially responsible, that might sound like a more reasonable standard that might be less questioned.

The absolute nerve of this 28 y/o calling in to say she's not worthy of her standards. Really self-centered to think his opinion of her is representative of most men. If a 41-year-old single father with grown children who made her salary came on the show no one would have a word to say but she’s financially independent and she want somebody who can match her salary and that’s a problem. She can find someone who is older than her, a man of a different race who will love her and respect her because I see that these black men are really pressed about $100k and in their feelings because she doesn’t want to be with somebody making less than 100 K. But why do we glorify the fact that rich men cheat? Like money has to come with infidelity..That doesn't always have to be the case
@flawlessjewels2 жыл бұрын
I don't think Kendra is glorifying rich men cheating. She knows that those men have lots of options and that many if not most of them aren't monogamous. So if a woman prefers that type of man, she has to know what she's signing up for so she can decide if she'll accept it. That's the point Kendra is making.
@ItsmeCR-g8j2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it’s about glorification. I do think it’s about the probability of him cheating. The more money a man makes or appears to make, the more options he has that are aiming to get him. He doesn’t even have to try. The probability IS higher because his options are more abundant. A woman with a man who that kind of “advantage” must consider what she may run into. To your point, it doesn’t have to be the case, but the higher probability is there.
@queencharles35272 жыл бұрын
@@flawlessjewels I didn't say that Kendra said it. Ppl say it in general. I'm just saying that just because a man is rich doesn't automatically put him in the cheater club. Some wealthy men just want a ONE good looking woman that will give them sex, children, personal growth, peace and respect. There are two sides to a coin. The positive should be emphasized too.
@queencharles35272 жыл бұрын
@@khalifaNzuri I wouldn't pick her if even if I was a broke man with very little options..lol And realistically speaking, a 32 yr old is perfect for you. She should be mature enough and she can still have about 3 kids if you play your cards right. How is she too old?? And why are you talking to your mom about this?
@queencharles35272 жыл бұрын
@@khalifaNzuri Well,all I can say is that your criteria does exist. You just have to find her. I would never suggest that you die alone though. Your situation sounds similar to mine. All the men my age have already spread thier seed all over the city, are divorced and bitter or out of shape and delusional. I think I might have to date outside of my race as well. It's not my preference but blk men my age have too much drama and they're mean..they leave me no choice.

Second female was in her feelings and closed minded due to those emotions. What I find funny is that Kendra sat there and let her talk uninterrupted but she couldn't render the same courtesy. Baby girl can have her wants all day but the % of men making that money that will go for her isn't there.. she has two kids by different men, divorced, 41, doesn't want anymore kids, and oozes masculine energy.
@nursedani57042 жыл бұрын
I agree with her. Alot of men who make less than their woman begin to show less motivation to do more because you are able to provide for everything. But like Kendra said, if she wants a millionaire man he is definitely going to be motivated and busy.
