I ask the same why do parents stop being parents after their daughter is married. (or it is generalised) Talking about grown up children thrownout of home, paying for their college, marriage and living on their own in western countries is itself a stupid act. If one plants a tree he needs to water and protect it until it can survive on its own. If two people decide to have a kid they should know the consequences. It was their choice to bring a life not a kids choice to be born. We need to be ratinal. Everything existing in a society is not good we need to recognise the right and dignity of others even the women

What the hell! Parents are also family. Husband wife relation has divorce concept. But parents and kids have no divorce concept.
