For a concrete load bearing wall, there should be a double layer of vertical reinforcement.. Will it be possible in walls with minimum thickness. I think there will be structural complications. If the construction is with pillars and beams, (as in a framed structure) and concrete walls acts just as a partition, then it will be okay.. but for that condition why go for costly concrete instead of bricks.

Am a Structural Engineer. You need Pillars and Beams only if your locality is in Earthquake prone area. Normal Red Bricks life time 800 to 1000 years or sometimes more than that.. Red bricks don't need Columns (Pillars) and Beams. They are load bearing up to 5 floors or more if constructed properly. Don't believe all videos uploaded on KZbin. Nowadays Contractors and Engineers focus only on money.
