These 3 are fabulous musicians, singers, and songwriters. But really, the most amazing thing here is the single microphone. They are adjusting their volume and distance from the mic, creating a perfectly balanced and beautiful mix of vocals and instruments. In a studio, every voice and instrument would be separated, then mixed through a computer. These 3 are absolutely amazing.

I haven’t heard Nickel Creek in years. I forgot how good they were. I remember hearing them a lot from I think 2002-2004 or so. As a singer myself, I love good harmonies.

I’ve been to several Nickel Creek concerts over my lifetime. I saw them at the Ryman in Highschool, Knoxville while in college, and then again this year in Louisville. Every show has been beyond fantastic and you should go see them if you get the chance.

Every one of their albums are so good. You just hit play on track 1 and listen all the way through. They are all wonderful musicians, true masters of their instruments. You'll be surprised at their variety of music types... not all "bluegrass".

Just seen this. Bluegrass is great. I was in the service, Navy, in 1970. At home on leave in 71, my brother said, hear this. A all new bluegrass. Bluegrass with a touch of rock. A group called New Grass Revival, 1971 to 1989. One of their songs was, Calling Baton Rouge. Please pull it up. They were great. Think you will enjoy them.
