I'd never heard of Shed 7 until about a year ago when they came by on a britpop playlist. I was blown away. I don't love every song on Going for Gold, but I love many of them! I'm a bit stumped by how they weren't as big as Blur or Oasis. Oasis probably got by on attitude, but I reckon Shed 7 are as good as Blur who always struck me as a bit too middle class. That's an Aussie speaking, so I don't know much about how things played out over there. How I wish I'd been in London in the 90s! I don't recall any press about them down here at the time. I had records from Ride, Blur, Oasis, Spacemen 3, The Charlatans, Kula Shaker, The Stone Roses, but never a word nor saw a disc from these guys.
