Dave touched up on something that all who have tuned in know. Dan has offered something people have grown to know about his site, he's positive and a true fan about what he researches, and like those of us who tune in regularly, good work stretches back through the decades. It isn't nostalgia, it's creativity that inspired but also still amazes. It wasn't cash grab, it was inspired work that is ageless and full of wonder. And the numbers who shared are well deserved and inspiring because Dan simply is a good guy putting a good thought out there. Thanks to Dave for tapping that and check out Dan and Debbie's Christmas song. Lovely rendition, you two.😊 All the best to all in 2025 and here's to more positivity from this point on. The world needs it and the kids watching need to feel it and see it in us, the adults.

What a nice little bonus. Great that when you state your motivations you come closer to your fans. Couldn't agree more on your insight into why people are walking away from sequels, retcons, resets, reboots and the like and going back to the original source.

Shakespeare said “all the world's a stage” even though our town was too big to be a small town we kids didn’t know so many times the movie theater became the stage where our lives took place, where things happened. So many memories and lessons learned. A testament to times past without cell phones or computers. A time lost to time never to be seen again.

Star Wars June of 77, The combined smell of spilled soda on the floor and the “stale popcorn “ plus the pinesol they used to clean the theater with is now known to me as the Star Wars smell, when I come across that smell it instantly takes me back to that moment in time, sitting on the isle two rows from the back not knowing my life was about to change forever. Thanks Dan ❤

Truly what you have done with your channel in just one year is fantastic. I can't say I have been with you from your start a year ago but I was on board early on. I have just made odds and ends videos for several years with about 250 subs. I would like to get into some kind of groove but just flounder with my electronics hobby plus some odd stuff. You are an inspiration and I hope to learn from your example. My young age of 68 does not help matters but there is always hope ;-)

Great stuff Dan. To be honest, I don't watch your show because of your positive take particularly. You could critical of some of this stuff and I'd still watch. It's your ENTHUSIASM for the subject matter than brings me in. That and your knowledge and the research you do. Jst keep up the good work. Oh, and the appreciation you express often is a REALLY considerate thing, which I greatly appreciate. Far too many content creators seem to view us as an economic opportunity and little else.

The Greatest American Hero!! Two iconic things related to that: George Constanza's outgoing answering machine message on "Seinfeld," "Believe it or not, George isn't at home," and Robert Culp on "Saturday Night Live." They're doing, "I Spy," with Eddie Murphy as Bill Cosby's Scotty character, except he keeps trying to get Culp to eat Jell-O Pudding Pops and then it turns out Culp and "Ralph Hinkley" are actually spying on Scotty. It was the middle of the night but I think I still laughed milk and cereal out my nose!

Hi Dan, I couldn't agree with you any more there is tons of negativity out there on You Tube and positivity is the way to go! Someone might hate for saying this but... I grew up in London and watched the original Star Trek series the first time around and loved it. I've seen tons of The Next Generation and Voyager episodes but nothing comes close to the original Star Trek television series. I don't hate them they just aren't very good. Loved your interview. A philosophy, all reviewers in any meeting should live up. When you critique never forget that “someone” liked it, even if you didn’t. Be respectful to that audience, but still disagree.

"Its overwhelming". No truer words were spoken of the negative climate of criticism saturating social media. It's first and foremost before even a minutes of an actual movie is seen and some content providers thrive off it. Movies, Music & Monsters is not just nostalgic, it's an oasis from the cynical.
