Great video! an BTW that was a Mustad Demon circle that you was using at first, we usually use the bigger sizes here in South Africa when fishing for in-edibles and rays. It gets the fish in the scissor every time it turns on our baits. The smaller sizes are pretty useless when fishing for smaller edible species of fish like what you was catching.

Try pan frying with your seasonings. Light oil. No flour. Lime juice, cilantro and onion on a corn tortilla. Sheepers make the best fish tacos. Yummy.

Pretty funny a lot of people say they've been waiting forever for a thresher fishing video. If one week seems like forever it must be hell waiting for Christmas to roll around LoL It's a testament to how much your fans love ya Coop. Hey bud! So yes... sheepshead is very good meat, because think about their diet...all shrimp and crab basically, which has an effect on the meat. Also, you should never have to bleed them. Only bleed fish that are naturally very bloody, like jacks or bluefish. And I'm glad you figured out not to use circle hooks for them, because the hook set is very important on sheepshead, and you don't set the hook with circle hooks. At 4:00 is the exact reason I use "long shank" 1/0 or larger hooks, you can always grab those hooks even when you can't find your pliers, and sometimes, its like my pliers disappear! By the way, I have never had any luck whatsoever with circles and Sheepies. Awesome video.

Stayed on the north jetty last weekend. First light lost a king. Every 30 ft down the Jetty I would see 4-5 sheepers. Threw on the cork and shrimp and caught a few. Later that evening caught a few flat boys in the surf on shrimp and finger mullet

I got away from circle hook when using shrimp. I started using the long straight hooks by eagle claw and they hold the shrimp better. The only times I used circle hooks is with cut bait.
