i used to think doing mods like this to small suvs looked silly, but after actually going on alot of "adventure" type jeep trails, i realised that my vehicle and all the other ones i saw on the trail were overkill for what we were doing and i was easily spending $200 on a daytrip for gas, so ya by all means put a winch on your subaru or whatever you want, its about as much fun by the end of the day

I just bought a 2012 Sport few weeks ago. Your older review was one the main reason why I bought it. I bought a K&N cold air intake that I going to install soon, I have in mind other mods you already performed keep up the good work‼️🫡💪

Do you have a link for the hub centric rings you used to make the grand Cherokee wheels work?

Sure - they're 67.1mm (the hub of the Patriot) to 71.5mm (the bore of the wheels) - amzn.to/4crstH8 You might also need VERY thin wheel spacers just on the front if your brakes graze the wheel. I found mine just barely touched the wheel after I put new pads on (the new pad thickness moved the caliper slightly) so I got 3mm spacers with the same 67.1mm center bore and put them behind the rings.

Yes you can supercharger it be alote fun but if ur going to do that u should get a chip so you can play with the gas an timing an last get a shift kit in trany an to top it off get a old rear end out of an old jeep an ur be pleased

I don't know anywhere in particular to buy the skidplates (or for sure if they fit the diesel ones) - the part numbers are in the video description and I suspect your best bet is to just put those in google or whatever search you use - example the front steel skidplate is 5105236AB and it looks like mymoparparts dot com has them in the USA, would be prohibitive to ship your direction unless you've got the coin to spare. I believe these were also sold in eastern europe and the soviet republic so the parts might come from east of you for a bit less money.

You can get the whole kit from justforjeeps dot com - sorry it looks like an actual link won't work here in the comments. The price there makes some folks squeamish but the way I look at it the first time I really need them they paid for themselves. However that website is nice enough to list the part numbers under the package so you can google the part numbers individually and then search those & try to save some money. The bolts aren't unique, but the little captive nut carriage things are (like a square threaded nut insert thing that presses into a hole in the stamped body sheet metal) . Another thing you can do is check wrecking yards like row52 dot com and car-part dot com , and use the VIN to identify if the jeeps in the yard were factory or dealer equipped with the hooks. That can save you time driving around since only a small percent of these things came with hooks. If you do find one in a wrecking yard be sure to get those captive nuts, you really do need them.

Hi, what was the problem with your old big tires ? 235*75*16 ? I would put 215*80*16 on mine , bad idea ? Lifted and spaced. Thanks for your videos.

I think perhaps I've been mistaken for someone else, I've never had 235/75R16 tires on this Jeep. Those would be a full inch larger diameter and almost certainly would rub on the pinch weld; might possibly rub on the front spring perch as well. I have never seen 215/80R16 available for sale.

Possible? Sure. So far to my knowledge lots of people have talked about it but nobody has successfully done it. Here's the challenges: The ECU controls both the engine and the transmission, so replacing with an aftermarket ECU would require one that can control the transmission too (unless you have a manual Patriot). As far as I know the ECU is locked and there hasn't been enough demand for an aftermarket manufacturer to bypass it like on Wranglers and Rams. Another difficulty is that the transmissions on these cars probably wouldn't enjoy a long life behind turbo power. I'm not saying it can't be done but I think most people just don't feel like it's worth the effort for an appliance car. If I was real set on having a powerful Patriot I'd probably look into buying a wrecked Dodge Journey V6 and powertrain swap since they're both built on the same platform and later model Journeys got pentastars.
