fun fact: the interior sizes of march and titan are actually very close. adamance is not comparable, being smaller than offense and only slightly bigger than vow. march's three fire exits and lack of mansion interior in the spawn pool are what allows it to be nearly as massive as titan without being anywhere near as oppressive. i love this gimmick; it's why march is one of my favorite moons. probably second only to artifice.

It could be really cool if different day lengths were implemented to moons and Titan in particular had a long day length. Could require you to get extremely skilled at dodging monsters as you venture deeper and deeper to collect as much as you can. On the flip side, some other moons could be focused more around the time crunch.

@@A.please_insert_witty_text.M i wouldnt want to make vanilla runners deal with that but i would love to try it as a mod. especially with a config file that lets you change the time for each moon

@@A.please_insert_witty_text.M the LethalLevelLoader mod implements this exact feature. There's an Asteroid level that has no day night cycle, so I customized it to have an effectively endless day. Currently doing testing with nighttime outdoor power to see how to balance such a odd choice. The moon specifically only has coilheads as outdoors, so I've currently got the outdoor power cranked waaay up, and around the time a normal day would end things get extremely hairy. The moon in question also has outdoor lights, that need to be turned on and are powered by the apparatus. Taking it out late game is practically guaranteed death at this point of testing 0_o

I'm glad you've found a challenge to breathe some life into this game for you. I know you posted about feeling some burnout a little while ago, and I'm excited for self-imposed challenges like this. I would love to see you work with some modded levels. I've been working on a handful of modded moons with a custom LethalLevelLoader config file, and it has been night and day. Using this freedom to give each moon personality has been a game changer for my friends and I. I would highly recommend Wesleys moon/interiors, as well as the equipmsnt slot mods, specifically flashlight and walkie slots.

i like the golden man idea but i think it would be better if it was 3 ingame days (1 quota) rather than 1 real hour

no way bruh left right after landing 9:30 all bc it was eclipsed if i have jetpack flashlight shovel and keys i could def solo just today i pretty much soloed there were like 5 dogs ouside the ship and i had to move stuff but i kept buying things so dogs dont go for me and there were 2 mimics i had a teamate so it was pretty much duo and my teamate died to a dog thats why i say i soloed it even he said i pretty much soloed

hey idk if u read comments or anything and i know you're just getting back to the game but the last 2 videos have been really underwhelming imo it's pretty much just an hour of landing ship, grabbing an inventory and then leaving before any monster even start spawning it's nice and all but like there's no pressure, no cool play and no clutch i know the point is to not die because you only have one hour but honestly it's pretty boring just my opinion tho!

That’s the reality of scoring high in this challenge solo, for better and for worse. Better to reroll for better rooms near the entrance across four quotas instead of pusing two quotas to their limits and risking a death/reset. Especially when a reset entails starting over from Experimentation. The risk isn’t worth the reward (which is usually just a higher overtime bonus, and maybe a more entertaining video). I have a variant of this challenge in mind that addresses this issue and doesn’t take 11 hours minimum to complete, so I’ll be doing that next! Feel free to skip the next two videos though. Embrion is the most boring one of all the moons, but I at least bought a jetpack on Artifice lol

@@sheffaustin i didn't even know you started all the way back if you died the very nature of the challenge is extremely boring cause you just can't take any risk and it just makes no interesting content, plus you don't improve at the game if you avoid everything hope you cook some more interesting stuff in the future

@@zapp485 you’re allowed to die, I even died in this video, but what you’re not allowed to do is start the timer over and try again. So my score here was what I could earn in 42ish minutes instead of one hour. That’s why my March and Offense scores are so low. March I died with only 12 or so minutes left, so after losing all my scrap, eating a 20% penalty and having zero days left in the quota I figured the 667 I had was better than what I could earn in 12 minutes. I appreciate you sharing your opinion though! Not everyone’s into scoring high in boring ways and I respect that. I myself can only do so much looting/leaving content which is why I came up with the variant in the first place. But I wanted to make sure I finished this challenge first since it’s the challenge that kept me going for a little bit longer before my hiatus and also the one that’s bringing me back from it. I hope you enjoy the next challenge a bit better! I will most likely start it this weekend, if not sooner.
