Brilliant video of Sheffield 😊 Being a Barnsley lass it’s a little skip down M1 😂 but it is a fabulous city, we’re always visiting for the shows & plenty of restaurants to choose from, and the Christmas market is just lovely, really gets you in the mood 🧑🏻‍🎄🧑🏻‍🎄

The City of Sheffield is a beautiful place to study. I was there between 1976 and 1978. It will be really interesting to see how the city looks today.

I lived in Sheffield between 1989 and 1995 - when I left to live near the north west coast, it’s a great city, but it’s nicer by the sea.

I go every year and one of the reasons is the German sausage stall I always have sauerkraut with, but last year they had left the sauerkraut out in the rain, and my sausage i didn’t realise had blood in the middle till I was half way through and wasn’t cooked, I threw it away I didn’t complain and then in the middle of the night I was so poorly with food poisoning symptoms into the next day. So I’m never eating it again. And I ate from them and bigged them up every year on Facebook. 😢

@JohnPaulJones-z7c lol thanks it was last year, though. I've actually been sheff christmas market today, and oh my goodness was so busy queues everywhere (note to myself avoid weekends) . So going to wait till the 11th for a baileys hot chocolate from the market when we are back to watch a show at Crucible. The lights are beautiful, especially the wheel and rest of the town centre. ✨️

@ It did look lovely though, thanks for showing us. I am quite local but don’t go in to Sheffield much since John Lewis closed. One of my sons who now lives in Australia always heads into town when he’s home, he loves it. Think I’m just turning into a bit of a grump these days. Enjoyed the video.

Lived in Sheffield since 1972. Left for another greener County in 97. Glad I did. Some cracks you just can't smooth over. Boring uninterested people. Nothing has changed. Only the one thing I moved away for. Yeah that thing. As predicted. No thanks.
