Hi Adey yes I think I was starting to feel the effect of the beers by then but I new I had to climb up to the Norfolk Arms, so just went for it, took a bit longer to get back home 3 miles in the dark with no torch, all the best pat

Just found this video by chance. I went to Uni in Sheffield in 1973 and stayed in Sheffield and Peak District until 1998. I used to live just down the road from the Nottingham House (opposite the dental hospital), which was a great pub in those days. Others I can remember are the Pomona, on Eccleshall Rd just down from the now-demolished Wards Brewery. The Red Deer, near the university and the Broomhall Tavern. Some pubs in the North of the city stayed open almost all night to serve the miners coming off shift. A friend of mine, who was a keen climber had some of his ashes left in one of the ash trays of the Broadfield and the rest scattered on Stanage Edge.

Hi Ian, yes remember all these pubs from similar era, went in the North in the 1970,s and the Tavern around the 1990,s both popular with students as they are today. Old Pomona went along time ago, but Red Deer very much the same, looking forward to them all opening up again, all the best Pat

Ha brilliant - I love your camping vids but this one had me cracked up. I was a bit worried about you crossing the road at the Sun and you looked pissed coming back out. You were deffo feeling that pint no.6 as you climbed up to the last pub. I love a gentle pub crawl like this one with really good beers. I really like how Haze Outdoors combines beer sessions with wild camps but you could teach him a thing or two about a classic pub crawl. Really really enjoyed this - thanks for taking us along. Yes a great area with good pubs, spent alot of time in the Sun around 1970/71, still visit today, they usually do a great beer festival called Sunfest in July, where did all the years go ?....... all the best Pat

Just stumbled upon this. We also enjoy a hand pulled pint of blond ale. When this lockdown is over I'm going to plan a day or two in sheffiled and plan the pub crawl. Love how you get tiddley!

Perfect walk and a great antidote to the Controlavirus lockdown. These micro pubs are brilliant. I come from Bromsgrove, Worcs. A hundred yrs or so ago the small town had 112 pubs. Now about 12. But micro pubs are opening. Great idea.

Hi Don Patricio! Another class video. I find the tone and the pace of your videos so relaxing. Really top stuff. Not sure if you've been, but Glenfiddich tour is brilliant and you get a good pour of nips, one to do when covid pressure eases. My shed is coming along well, you encouraged me to ensure proper beer is being poured. Certainly going to get a decent machine, swan neck and nice sparkler for a Northern pour. Just need to see who will deliver box/bag o beer to my address. Best wishes from Scotland

OMG! The Wild Weather brewery (An ale in the Lescar) is literally a mile down the road from me in West Berks! I thought they were just a local brewery. You learn something new every day! :-) BTW: I saw "Pubs" and "Several Pints" in the description and just had to click on it! Was not disappointed! lol!

Yes I out to do more of these pub crawls as it is one of my favourite pastimes. Beer has improved over last 10 years, always a varied number of beers at most of these pubs, all the best Pat

Brilliant video pat! congrats on the subs and very well deserved, i think youre my favourite British channel that does outdoors stuff! I've been a sub for over a year now, never commented before but always watched the latest vid straight away and hit the like button. I must of watched your gear list vid in your garden 50 times, got some great tips from it and even went out and bought a Rab Ridge Raider bivvy and the book! I love both. That scene where you staggered out the Rising Sun after pint 6 made me laugh OUT LOUD, pure comedy gold! Thanks for uploading, as always I was hanging on every word.
