With four young girls, to include a baby, she is super busy with her family. As a Christian stay at home mom, I've often struggled with the balance of curating my home and knowing when to stop and just let it be. One thing I need to say is, it so touches my heart how much you describe the feeling of her home and that you were reminded of that Bible passage about how God sets eternity in our hearts and that our homes reflect that. Kristen’s home is amazing, she’s done a fabulous job of decorating it! It felt a little too much, like maybe it could use a bit less, but everything seemed to be a cohesive feeling, so that’s nice. I always admire the feeling of homes like this, Lisa Bass’ from Farmhouse on Boone, Kelsey’s from Seed and Sparrow and Cami’s from Tidbits. They all have a similar monochrome vintage style. However, I don’t tend to choose those things when I’m thrifting or decorating, I choose COLOR! I also tend to gravitate towards a more 40s-50s vibe, less Victorian, but I do appreciate it. Thanks for sharing and I’m glad you girls all had a great reunion!

I feel like you tapped into something that can’t always be seen in pictures but it’s the way that beautiful home made you feel (to the point of tears). Kristin's house is my fave online home. It's just so old and lovely. Even though I love color, I love her home with all its browns and earthtones too and the all white walls, which is something I don't have at all. I could move into that house and live there forever. It is precious. And making a home is so important and a calling. It influences your children's lives their whole lives. I did not have a happy home growing up but my mom made us a beautiful home and it set a standard I tried to meet.
