First time I meet Nissim was just after a SImchat Torah party in Jerusalem. My friend who sponsored the event had him perform... was such a beautiful event seeing all the Yerushaymis, bachurim and others jamming it out. No, he is speaking truth! A “big black rapper”…Nissim is no more accepted in Israel than the Ethiopian Jews or other African immigrants. The sadness is that he felt that he had to convert to Judaism. The hidden truth is that he was born a child of Israel…the blood seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. A lie cannot last forever!

They became spiritually curious and went on their journey together- eventually becoming Orthodox through a community in Seattle, WA. I’ve learned this by watching and enjoying his interviews. He and his wife and family are Breslov.
