Free country, everyone should follow their own heart - BUT - I’d take a guess that if you sell this car, in ten years it will be the one you regret. I recently relocated from North Jersey to North Texas & this car reminds me of the American Cowboy ethos, open county, freedom and adventure. Good luck on what ever you decide. A lot of people will reject the idea but I think boosting your 350 would be amazing. I’ve been through many iterations on my 350 (Stock, minor bolt ons, and now boosted) I think with moderate boost, not excessive, adds such an emotionally pleasing element to this already perfect car. Now for sole track enthusiasts maybe not the way to go. But for the average street guy I believe it’s a must. Just my opinion. I think with your meticulous nature it would be an excellent quantity of good quality content watching you go through a nice build on the 350. Best of luck! Final notes. I did go into pretty extensive work with mine (built motor, fuel system, clutch, etc) The voodoo out of the box wasn’t equipped to handle what I intended to throw at it. But based off what I have seen with others staying under 10lbs of boost have had excellent results maintaining a healthy motor and have gotten a quite reliable set up. Maybe it’s not for you. To each their own. Just thought I’d throw it out there.

Gotta say, that's sad to hear. I don't think I could ever sell mine. But if I had to, I think the only thing I might replace it with would be a 997 GT3 RS or maybe a Viper ACR.

absolutely the 997 GT3RS and ACR are both incredible the issue is pricing, the Porsche to get one in a condition that would make me happy now is $300k+ and the ACS are pushing $275K as well it is just too expensive for one single car that i would not drive often.

the GT4 is a long story but I almost bought a white one in January of 2020 before the world went to shit the dealer screwed me over and sold it to someone else for more money because they were doing a full finance on the car and I was not. I ordered a brand new 2020 GT4 and the day it came in I told the dealer to sell it on my behalf and I went for the more rare and more special 355.

It’s a keeper for sure, I traded in a 2019 gt3rs for a 2019 350 non R with 700 miles. In many ways, it’s much better driving experience with the manual transmission, couldn’t tell you another car out there that would replicate this short of a 992 GT3 touring (manual) but those are still going for north of 300k.

They are suppose to be making a manual Supra? Kinda similar to the new Z in my mind, good “mid priced” manual legends I have a C7 GS and the only car (other than another C7/C6 Z) would be a newer gen Viper They seemed to have better interiors and just seem to be a fun rowdy car - but there’s the pricy problem with them now. Believe most recent gens are $150,000+ with ACR models going 200-300k

I know this is late, but I think a competitor for a GT350 would’ve been the OG M2. It sounds a lot better than the S55, but still burbles; it just doesn’t sound artificial. The N55 actually felt like it had some sort of soul, compared to something like the B58 or S55, though I can’t describe in words how. Another aspect was balance, it was a perfect 50/50 and when given the chance to drive an Giulia QV it actually eerily similar; they both want to kill you, but the M2 felt more like a race car whereas the Alfa felt more, classic Italian. Power is one downside, but with Stage 2 & FBO I was pushing 450hp; no issues with reliability for my 3 year time, especially since it’s an N55. Steering felt better than the GT350 from my experience, as it felt so responsive and so confidence inspiring. Put that along a DCT or manual and it’s the perfect go-kart. I sold my M2 when the car market was at its peak and have an E92 M3 DCT. The steering is amazing and the S65 is godly, but now I’m debating on either getting the Alfa QV for that Ferrari Engine & Practicality, or a GT350 for that Voodoo & Trans. The QV feels like my OGM2 The GT350 feels like my E92 M3

Nothing can compare to the Shelby GT350R these cars are so raw and engaging no M car even comes close and I just bought a G80 M3 with 6 speed last week, great cars but the German cars are so refined and the Ford is far from refined which lends to it's character I love my GT350R took it out a few days ago for a rip! I personally love the E92 but they are still more refined than the GT350 even through they are old cars now.

I actually had another chance to drive a GT350 and the Giulia QV back to back yesterday to decide which one to go for, and I think I finalized my decision with the GT350. The Giulia felt way more refined than my M2, and even more aggressive when taking turns, but just somehow didn't feel as engaging anymore as the GT350. I was surprised because the first time I drove one I was in love with the Giulia for that factor and didn't even consider the GT350 at that point, but now I've began rethinking. Hell, this whole ordeal made me rethink what an ideal sedan would be as a whole in the long run, and I've started lusting after the Chevy SS in comparison to the Giulia; the complete opposite. I think I've been Americanized; I think I want to drive the GT350 more now.

Congrats the GT350 is one of the most special modern cars ever created and I created this channel from day 1 discussing this. the Giulia stock is a great car but i personally felt it was too soft and not raw enough for me which is why I modified mine with so many upgrades. I recent got rid of the car due to it being so problematic and the dealer networks so poor I just picked up a new M3 with a stick and really like it.

Saw dealers charging 20k over stick for the new Z. Looked at the new Civic Si at a local dealer and they want 10k over and it’s not even the type R. It’s ridiculous at this point.

Aston Martin vantage. Very well trimmed,l and build quality is decent. They are not selling well so many on the market. Still has that twin turbo amg v8. Never driven the AMR manual version but I’m sure that’s the one to have

I was looking at the AMR in early 2020 before the world went to shit I hated the AMR gearbox it was not very good at all and the shifter felt awful in your palm. the Vantage is a neat car but the handling is a bit sketchy they supposedly fixed that on the new F1 editions and new V12 Vantage but back to back the AMG GTR is the better handling car with a much more developed chassis.

You should probably keep this car. No one is going to maintain a vehicle as well as you. I have PPF on the front of my 2020 GT500 that I purchased new but it still has rock chips. It breaks my heart. Personally my Shelby is keeper. Most people that own a GT350(R)s keep them.

If you believe ford won’t make cars like the 350 ever again, then why get rid of it? It’s already a classic that will be worth way more money in the future. Unless someone gives you an offer you can’t say no to, I say keep it. You’re a mustang guy at heart, why not hold on to the best one ford ever made. But, for your next car regardless of what you do with the 350, I’d say gt4rs should be on your radar.

However if i keep it I will for sure enjoy it more when we scoot out of NY I think the bad roads and driving conditions really deters me from driving it and enjoying it more. The GT4 is an awesome car much smaller and sharper but not as much power, grip and chassis bite they are very different cars but fun in their own ways. Everyone complains about the GT4 gearing and it is true you never really use anything but the first 3 gears on public roads the Shelby is geared better and I do enjoy shifting more as part of the fun. I ordered a sweet spec GT4 a 2020 model and i did not take delivery in lieu of the F355 i got

@@autofanaticcars Well I thought my GT350 was fast and handled awesome. It's previous stablemate was a C6Z06. I was torn which one I would give up...but kept the ford. Then I got the 2018 GTR to replace the Z06. The GT350 is FBO/E85. However the GTR is on a different planet. Makes the GT350 feel unsettled and slow. I would keep the GTR probably forever and look to replace the GT350 way out in the future when the new Z06 pricing comes back to reality and availability. Both cars feel special but the GTR in a much different class...interior, handling, speed.

thanks for sharing this feedback the GTR is an animal and AMG spent a ton of money engineering that car to be a real 911 competitor. My issue has been finding a good one, most have too many miles, no service records, flipped at auction so many times and trashed paint with rock chips all over. If the right GTR comes my way I am still going after it. AMG will never make another one the way things are going and these European automakers are jumping ship on ICE faster than anyone else due to their ridiculous Govts. Does your GTR have CCB Brakes or steel brakes? For the money my heart has been set on finding the right spec with the CCB but its hard it seems no many opted for these in the 2018-2020 models.

I had a GT350 and jump to a McLaren 12C, not sure if you've driven any just yet but maybe a 650s will work for you. YMMV but after a little over 1 year of ownership mechanically reliable.

I know this might feel like a downgrade but maybe a GR86/BRZ? Lightweight, easy to tinker with if needed, and consumables are inexpensive. If not then the BMW M2CS/ Porsche Cayman can be good options as well.

The M2CS drives awesome but the engine is a deal breaker for me, hate the sound and it just does not feel special enough for $159k what they are selling for used now. Caymans are incredible cars for sure I still like the GT4 quite a bit

I have them on my Alfa Romeo I absolutely love them and the reduction in weight was pretty impressive and you can feel it in the cars handling and steering. I had my eye on doing them for the Shelby as well but also was looking at the Carbon Ceramic brake upgrade kits for the Shelby GT350, very pricey but a substantial weight reduction my only worry is the hydraulic components of the brake system were never designed for carbon rotors so it could be a gamble on how the car would brake and perform.

Do not sell the GT350R! Come on Phil there's nothing like it. And you were the original owner! Just think about it: how hard was it to find, the ADM that most dealers put ion it (especially here in NY), and the bat shit crazy tree huggers that are trying to end the sale of internal combustion engine cars. You'll never get this much thrill from a Tesla or even a Mach-E. Do you really want to be one of those guys 20-30 years from now when GT350Rs are worth $1M who says "Yeah, I had one but I didn't keep it"? Can't tell you how many people told me that when viewing my 70 Boss 302 or 86 SVO or 73 Pantera. Not sure what you don't like about the interior; those recaros grip you like a woman's thighs. Buy American! I could understand maybe if you traded the 350R for a Ford GT. But outside of that, please just take your 350R to a track. Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Pocono, Thunderbolt, Dover, Gingerman, VIR, etc. If you don't come away loving your 350R even more then sell it. Your one of the few lucky men that got to be the first - just like me. Don't give it away.

yeah I agree this car is so special and the entire reason i created this channel which spiraled into a brand over the years. there is no other car like it unless you custom build a $300,000 pro touring Mustang using this driveline and I have built and owned many of those. I am honestly thinking of a newer final Gen Viper as i always wanted one but we will see the car market sucks now across the board.

wanna laugh i wasn't even paying attention when filming this and filled with 10qts because that is what my Amsoil dealer always sends me and my level is fine. I seem to have gotten a really good drain this time around but i tend to fill to 8 then warm engine up to test level but this time i got lucky. I do this to avoid overfilling the engine which can happen then you need to use an extractor from the dipstick to suck some out and is a PITA

yes the biggest issue is where we live we are in the process of relocating to an area with the most incredible driving roads and this will change the entire dynamic on cars i keep and own in the near future i just wish it wasn't taking so darn long with this transition but it is getting close. I have my eyes on a final Generation Viper GTS or GTC if I can find a perfect one with under 4k miles on the clock that might be next to add to the stable.

yeah just saw some videos on the new Z06 at the track and it sounds cool but it does not sound like or better than any NA Ferrari i laugh at the comments on these videos of people thinking it sounds better than a F355 or 360CS or 458. the gouging totally ruins the thought of buying a Zo6 i rather spent my money on a preowned Ferrari that is almost guaranteed to increase in value.

The only fast car that will give you that Muscle/Sports/ feeling is the GT500. But your tired of the s550 interior. So the best car is not in your wheelhouse. The DCT transmission is awesome. You Don't need Carbon ceramic brakes w/the 16.5" monsters. Plus C/S are just to expensive to replace parts on. Ask the z28 guys. Nobody drives those cars because they are not drivers. & lastly. Real American car guys buy American cars. Yes, many awesome foreign cars available. Yet ur crowd ur followers, don't want to see a used German build.. OK. Opinions are like a-holes.
