This episode is Part 2 of my trip to Zakynthos, Greece last year. My friend Rob and I will explore a couple new beaches, do some snorkeling, look in some tide pools, and collect shells, rocks, and sea glass along the beach. At the end of the video, I'll clean up a few of my favorite shell finds from this trip(Part 1, and Part 2)

I usually will clean shells with a bleach water bath/toothbrush and soap, but sometimes acid just does the trick perfectly and quickly! Thank you so much for watching!

Thank you! How beautiful, the color of the water, the shells are stunning with the stripes and colors. Those beautiful round rocks. I’ve always wanted to go to Greece, hopefully one day. Simply divine. Praying for Florida. We head to Marco Island for a week Saturday. I know you love Florida too. We usually go to Sanibel (1995) but she’s mending. Blessings.

Woww, I've never been in Pigadi of Xigia (Πηγάδι Ξυγκίων) or Vrodonero (Βροντόνερο), even though I'm from Zakynthos! Next summer, when I go again, maybe I'll visit them! My dear patriot said that there are many shells at Lake Loutrakiou and that's true. I just wanted to tell you it's not actually a lake, it is a beach, that's just how we call it (Λίμνη Λουτρακίου)😁. Awesome video, like always😊👍🏻

You never disappoint! That rock you found with a hole in it in the rockhounding world is called and Omar Stone. That's a term given to any rocks that you find that have holes in them. I've heard they are caused by the forces of water washing on the stone for Millenia. When a weak spot is found the hole can go clear through.😊❤

I find it interesting that you do not leave anything out...big or mini. All shells carry the same weight...all God's creatures...so beautiful and calming that I found myself yawning alot...lol...so, I'm going to bed and enjoy the moon as it shines over my part of the Pacific and, of course, thanx for letting me tag along yet one more time...in 4K...!!!

Very beautiful video. In Greece, we have very beautiful shells 🐚. The big one you found that has like thorns. We call it purple ( πορφυρα )💜. In ancient Greece, purple was processed, and with the color they extracted from it, they dyed their cloaks (and clothes). In red and shades of red. One can find many shells in the Corinthian gulf,in ancient Epidaurus,on the Argosaronic island of Aggistri. More generally, in the Peloponnese. And in the lake Loutrakiou. I would like to ask you a question. In the solution, you put the shells and in what quantities. Thank you very much for showing the beauties of my homeland. 🥰

Yassou my friend! I very much appreciate your historical anecdotes - I would love to get to some of the beautiful places you have mentioned - perhaps one day! For the mixture, I usually will mix 3 parts water, and 1 part muriatic acid - too much acid has the potential to destroy the shell quickly. I also will often use a 50/50 bleach water bath and a toothbrush to remove particles. Thanks so much for watching! 🇬🇷

There are SOOO many tiny pebble beaches tucked in the nooks and crannies of Zakynthos. The first place is called Xigia Pigadi, and is on the north eastern side of the island. I have also heard that Laganas Beach has many shells you can snorkel for in the shallows. Have fun on your trip, and thanks for watching! 💙
