@jenniferreid84275 жыл бұрын
I would love Shelly to mentor young athletes coming up to conduct a good interview however, I know it's not possible as a wife mom and a professional athlete. I am hoping that there is someone in Jamaica who will take up this challenge it is well needed. I am not saying the athletes are dumb I believe it's the lack of experience cause when you are being interviewed you're aware that you're not only speaking to the person before you but to a wider audience. So sometimes you can get nervous and scared.
@59vanity5 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Reid, how do you know this is not being done already? Also, it’s not just Jamaican athletes. Have you heard some of the NBA, NFL, baseball players speak? Even Naomi Osaka, the tennis player? Some people are truly not comfortable speaking in public and are actually terrified when placed in the spotlight.
@andyrock64815 жыл бұрын
How can someone so short run so fast?
@janetmabwa47835 жыл бұрын
The shorter the easier it is to sprint. Usain Bolt is the one who went against the norm. It takes longer for a tall person to straighten up and get into the race; could explain why Bolt was not quick out of the blocks. Read more about it.
@jietzemiedema80025 жыл бұрын
Short means less weight means easy to accelerate. F= m x a. In fact its harder for a tall heavy person like Schippers

I think that she is 1 of the ones who were complaining about Merlene Ottey being on the Jaimaican team 4 so long and that she should go....Merlene went 2 run 4 Slovenia and put them on Blast,saying on how nasty they were 2 her.
@jacan4eva5 жыл бұрын
carlista2010 stop talking nonsense! They complained cuz jamaica track authorities were going to give ottey a spot on the Olympic team over others who actually qualified. That was unfair. Ottey ran for Slovenia cuz she couldn’t qualify for the Jamaican team. She was older and slower at that point.
@Michael-tg9cc5 жыл бұрын
You’re misinformed on that issue. SFP began running at the Olympic/World Championship level in 2008 as a 21year old in Beijing. The incident with Ottey happened at the Olympics in Sydney 2000. Shelley Ann was only 13 at the time. The complaint by the younger athletes wasn’t about her being on the team “so long”, it was about her given special treatment. The established guidelines for making the Olympic team for the sprints was finishing in the top 3 at the trials. That year Ottey finished fourth hence qualifying for only the relay team and not the individual 100m. She requested special consideration which was granted and she replaced the athlete that finished ahead of her at trials that year. That was the only time that particular athlete would ever qualify for an Olympics team. Ottey was 40 years old at the time.
@edwardsewell83665 жыл бұрын
Carlisra 2010 Go read athletics history! SFP was a kid when Marlene was running for Ja. Had you said VCB,then people could overlook your lack of knowledge as it relates to athletics. SFP is a very humble person and would never bad mouth anyone..

zabaleta Judging from your name English is not your first language ; pardon me for being judgemental even though your comment is downright judgmental. Jamaica is a poor country and a former British colony. Not over or under USA , CANADA and GB dead body would they allow a small poor country like Jamaica to use the same drugs these 3 big giant made on their own athletes: by now Jamaica wouldn’t exist where athletics is concern. Did u not know these 3 big countries are world police.. Going around huffing and puffing on poor small countries dictating what they can and can’t do in their own backyard..
