I was going to say the same thing. I didn't play minecraft personally much, though I do remember playing the beta when it came out on my dad's friend's xbox when I was over there. The soundtrack is one of the best gaming soundtracks to me personally. I did, however, find Porter Robinson as a teen and got into that and I connect those songs with a time of wonder and growth for me in a way. This made me tear up for reasons I can't understand, thought I appreciate anything that can make me feel deeper emotions these days.

I love Shelter, it's one of my favourite songs ever. So, to see it remixed in the style of Minecraft, a game that I have grew up with (as an 8-11 year old kid), pulls my nostalgia strings hard, alongside making me cry inside a little bit because of the song itself. The older songs from C418 have a significant loneliness to them, the new songs feel much more full of life to me. The game has changed a lot over the years and it is filled to the brim with life, it is a far cry from the desolate planes C418 wrote the original music for. The melancholic feeling of C418 is absent in at least the majority of the additions, a feeling that is present in this video. A lot of the new songs are also at a faster speed and have more going on, they feel exited and rushing to explore the next hill and absolutely fit in the game. C418 has the slow piano and just a few things to accent it, like taking your time to make a new base, knowing that you will still get there in the end but you might not have anyone to show it to. C418 could never be replaced, so they did not even try. They have found a new feeling for the new songs, a feeling that still fits into the game very well. what I meant by "this feels more minecraft" I mean I felt like this was always a song in the game that I just didnt specifically remember. The new songs stand out against the old while fitting nearly seamlessly at the same time

The sheer impact that minecraft's soundtrack had makes me realize how amazing the game truly is. I genuinely believe The minecraft soundtrack is the greatest soundtrack in all of gaming. Nearly all of minecrafts soundtrack can be memorized. Even for big games most people will remember up to 5 songs out of the game at first thought.

I absolutely love this, Minecraft holds a special place in my heart, being a game I played off and on throughout the years, allowing me to reconnect with some of the school friends even 10 years after graduation, while Shelter reminded me that even when I'm feeling alone, I should move forward remembering all the good things that people have done for me. I love Porter and Madeon so much . Their music helped me back in 2017 when i was in a much darker place. Minecraft was some of the greatest times I had with friends and its such a nostalgia trip to remember all the good times we had together . Now here we are in 2022. I just got engaged to the love of my life last month in october and I never thought I would of made it this far . This came out a few days before my break up, I just discovered it today, I'm still healing and wow this song helps. The amount of nostalgia and comfort it brings me, knowing that the past isn't only filled with pain and regret, but can also bring warmth and a sense of belonging. Shelter was also in fact my first Porter Robinson song, so that also helped this video blast me with nostalgia.
