We've adopted several older cats where their owners had died or couldn't take care of them any longer. They've all been loving sweet cats. It does take them a little to settle in. but kind treatment, lots of attention, and an occasional treat work wonders. They may only have a few years left but we've always made sure they were good years.

These sweet, beautiful cats tug at my heart strings. And if you're looking for a kitty, please consider taking an adult or two. I am also allergic to cats. It's the only thing in the world. I'm allergic to, and I love them. I have my two babies and I use nasal spray and take Zyrtec daily. It's not a big deal. I wouldn't consider her ever living my life without cats in them.

I want to give advice to ANYONE who is allergic to animals. I am allergic to animal dander. My boyfriend (now my husband) gave me a cat. I'm allergic but I didn't want to say no so I took her in. For the longest time all I did was sneeze, sniffle and rub my eyes, but I couldn't give her up to a shelter. Then I began taking nasel medicine for allergies, the 12 hour kind and voila! I could bury my face in the cats fur and suffered no complications. She lived to be 20. I've had 7 cats after her who have passed, and have three now. I still take my nasel medicine. So please, don't let allergies keep you from adopting a loving cat. They are easy to care for. You don't have to walk them. Just a cat tree, of course litter box, cat toys and it'll give you cuddles and want to be with you. I wish I could adopt more but a person has to reasonable. I'm not into taking on cats that are to much for me. I want to build my "kids" a catio but don't have the money right now.🙂

Allergy meds spray doesn’t work as well for everyone . Its better to avoid or remove the cause for your long term health . The meds can and do stop working .

I love animals of any kind. I couldnt ever do this to my kitties. I had to given up a few of my pets i am able to check up on 3 of them. I am allergic and so is my husband but we just take something for our allergies. It makes me sad to see this. It hurts to see this. My first animal was adopted from the shelter. He was a 1 year old beagle. I was glad i knew which 1s were the most in need since i volunteered.

I think that cat; and dog shelters should be located in rural areas where they can freely roam outside on a few acres of land with a few trees for the cats to climb up on.

A very senior cat.🙂 My Snowball was 20 when she passed. I still miss her. I picture her the queen sitting proudly on a cloud in heaven lording it over the other 7 who passed after her waiting for her mom to arrive. 🙂. Well, I'm getting there my little one, but not yet. I look forward to holding you again surrounded by Flaky, Sweetie Pie, Lucky Chance, Snowbelle, Sammi, Drooler, Miss Kitty, and Sylvester. 🙂
