Finally an Ankimo reaction, I've been waiting for this for so long. Yes they did that song Live Cadaver/Revadac.

When I first saw this I thought it was just a gimmick for the video, but having seen them do it on DVD, and also live in London. Seeing them perform live you start to realise how good the band really are, yes you see it on the MV's and DVD's, but they can be touched up in the edit, but live, and they still do it to the same level. They have to be one of the most talented bands in the world today. The Band started in 2008 with Fuki (singer) and Shiren (headless guitar), who had been in another band together that stopped, wanted to work together again. To start with it was just them as a side project, and called on friends to help them out if they wanted to play live. Then slowly over the years they added more members, the last to join was Jill (violin) in 2016, so 8 years in the making. There are 7 members in all, but the vast majority of the time you will only see 6 of them. All the members were/or are in other bands while being in Unlucky Morpheus. Great reaction, UM is one of the best groups from Japan and it's members have been together for a long time, moving in and out of other bands and coming together over the years. The main composer is Sherin (lead guitarist on right side) and Fuki the singer. The singer Fuki is one of the most talented rock/metal singers around has has close to 90 appearances with this group and many others. For a couple of years she collaborated with another all female band called "Gacharic Spin" to create a concept group called "DOLL$BOXX" who released two albums (you really need to check out their video "Take my chance" off their first album "Dolls Apartment". Guitarist Sherin doesn't always play live due to I believe Tendonitis so a lot of his solos are now played by Jill, the violinist, but he still provides most of growls in songs. So, you realized the 2nd portion is an exact reverse of the 1st portion note by note. The lyrics are different. And they can do this live as well. There was a video of them doing it live but it got nuked. I will tell you this. Unlucky Morpheus is probably the best power/speed metal band from Japan. And Fuki (the lead v) is the best metals singer out of Japan, bar none. You have to see them LIVE. (oh, the song was composed by the guitarist on the right - Shiren). One additional thing I'm not seeing other commentators mention, the first line in Revadac IS sung backwards and in german.

WoW thats crazy, i just searched for the lyrics because i was curious about the German words (German myself) tnamaiD muz ehcsA red noV = Von der Achse zum Diamant But in general Japan is obsessed with German words in music or videogames. I found out they have a song 'Angreifer' = Attacker

@@PENTA_pischner If you are curious about the Japanese songs sung in German, you may wish to check that famous song Blumenkranz from Kill la Kill anime: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKSXaGeihcyCa5Y It's a cover by a German girl who performs under the stage name Paperblossom. The original Japanese version is not that nice, the German words come out absolutely strange. I love this cover version much more. It's a legendary song from a legendary anime, it truly deserved a normal German version. I would actually even go as far as to recommend to Corey and Michael to add this song to their hat as well. It's a jewel, really. A one-time project, but nevertheless.

Great reaction guys. Yes to both of your questions. Yes they do play in reverse. In fact the video goes in reverse and you can see that in the solos the notes they are playing do match what you see they are playing. It's wild. And also yes to your other question about them playing it live.

Man the Drummer made Micheal crazy in the beginning.😂 Even thought I did a sneak peak into this Unlucky Morpheus song for a Rocksmith request 1 week ago, the switchup in getting backward hit me realy hard. It was a pleasant suprise, because the first time I only listened for ~2minutes. 👍 Also liked the Violin as addition.

Thank you for answering my request. They will continue to play these two songs live. The guitarist shiren was BABYMETAL's first guitarist "Legend I" and was a member of the gothic metal band Yousei Teikoku(Fairy empire). There are a lot of very unique songs, so I request "Yousei Teikoku - Astral Dogma ". Please add it to the list of hats again.

I always enjoy you guys reactions! They label themselves as a Melodic Speed Metal band, they do incorporate bits of symphonic and power metal in their songs for sure. About the song, Vocals and Drums are not played in reverse, but both guitars, the bass and the violin are, as far as im aware. And yes they do play it live, there are a few reactions to it. There is no rhythm guitarist here btw, they are both lead and pretty amazing at it too. Try Dignity of Spirit or Angreifer both LIVE. I also suggest you take a look at LOVEBITES, another kick-ass (all female) metal band. Thunder Vengeance LIVE, Break The Wall LIVE, Holy War LIVE and much more. Band Maid, Lovebites and Unlucky Morpheus top 3 bands from Japan for me! Stay safe.

The second half of this song isn't so much played "backwards" as it is written lyrically in reverse themes. It's hard to explain. Parts are played in reverse, yes. But the theme and lyrics are what most stand out as being "reversed". Cadaver is about a spirit leaving the body, wondering what happens next, and the body's ashes being turned to diamonds (this technology exists). Revadac is about bringing the spirit back with the diamond. So the themes are reversed. But, the sheet music is also played in reverse for Revadac. Not parts of it, the whole thing. If you watch the Cadaver/Revadac Inverted Version video, you'll see that except for the lyrics, it sounds the same backwards. So it is actually thematically and musically reversed.

Even having loved this song(s) since it came out and knowing about the reversed part, my mind was still blown the first time I watched that fan-made inverted video. I first discovered UM when I discovered the lead singer as a "guest" singer to a side project of J-rock band Gacharic Spin called DOLL$BOXX. It's basically Gacharic Spin with Fuki as lead singer.
