I live an hour from Pueblo, in Colorado Springs. I didn't even think Colorado had any D2 teams until a few months ago. Then again, it makes sense. If we have a couple D1 teams, there should be at least a few in all other divisions as well. Thank you for sharing this game. I got to watch most of the game and it was AWESOME to watch. First D2 ever watched for me.

Shepherd usually skates by during the regular season then gets blown out in the playoffs by a vastly superior opponent. My senior year they made it to the Quarterfinals and got destroyed by West Chester 28 to 7. This game definitely gave me deja vu. Colorado School of Mines dominated from start to finish.

The thing about Mines is the academic part. Recruiting is similar to armed forces academy because of the scholastic part of going to the school, making any success that much harder.
