A Cool Dude's Trail is a wonderful idea. Overall it should be manageable over a bank holiday weekend and have overnight stopping places that have B'n'Bs as well as camping options. A nice hot bath after a long walk is heavenly.

I got rained on in exactly the same point along that hill near Gatcombe. It was the end of that summer heatwave so I was in shorts and t-shit. I was not happy. Evening Marek. Have you heard of the North to South Run on the Island? It starts at Eygpt point and finishes at St Catherine's lighthouse. Its a lovely run with stops at the Blacksmiths Arms, The chequers Inn, the white horse and then the Buddle to finish. Its about 19 miles but would be a nice route to walk too. Currently cool #500 😁👍

Another great walk Marek. I understand that the tyres are there for sheep to be able to rub their 'undercarriage' against to remove stubborn clods of mud, and maybe the bath is for them to use for really baked on crud. I would say that a good island walk could be done over 4 days, say 10-15 miles per day, and maybe the 'true athletes' could do all of the stages in one go as a Cool Dudes Endurance event. As it looked like a lovely day I reckon the Sea Eagle was probably on the beach having a paddle. Cheers dude. #163

Would love to do the Cool Dudes Trail (and see it added to the National Trails list!). I think the trail needs to link together some cool things on route on the island. Like the model village and the donkey sanctuary (perhaps with a bit of dinosaur isle thrown in). So maybe 2-3 days so enough time to do the activities in between. Or a cafe crawl linking one good bus route to another. Either way, I’m in. Cheers #468

Hi Jag. I moved to London when I was in my early 20's and didn't need a car there as it was too expensive, so only passed my test about ten years ago. I haven't driven since. I would need to take lessons again to go on the road also a car is too expensive at the moment while there isn't much work. Maybe one day. It will certainly make exploring easier. In the meantime all the walking helps me justify spending stuff on gear.

Particularly important if you plan to put out such relaxing videos in the future. Maybe some simulated car crashes or unmissable drama like finding lost underwear or a missing sock. It’s quite late in NZ when you post normally. Usually 98% of my brain goes to sleep about 10.39pm leaving the rest of my mind to watch KZbin and complain sporadically about my husband snoring so loudly in my ear and his rotating constantly like a rotisserie chicken stealing the doona as it gets rotated around his legs.
