I've been wearing boots straight since 1987,after a 24 year break.my first pair was 1963.but in around 2000,a lady from Katy Tx name Luv told me always by your boot a half size longer than your regular size my natural size is 8 1/2 D so i buy 9D.no problem all these years.

Bought two pairs of boots from you guys.., my foot measures exactly 10.5 inches, I ordered a size 10.5 , is this the right size? I have slippage on the heel . I wear work boots that I lace up tight and are 10.5. and are a little loose but comfortable, Please advice me on my 10 1/2 inch feet. If I return them I fear they might be tight but do not want loose fitting boots also! The boots I ordered are the chipewa engineer 7" steel toe and the Ariat Sierra ropper soft toe , Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

I got a pair of boots...when i tried the eu number 45 was a bit too tight...and the 46 a bit too loose...i tried to fit an extra layer of insoles to feel the gap but it felt a bit tight in the toe area again...but when i walked from work till my house for about 1 mile i got this slipping grinding feeling on the right heel which ended up in a big blister...any suggestions???

saetron ..I had the same issue, slipped a thin insole under the factory one, felt good at first but the next day my toes were feeling smashed. It’s important to get a perfect fit in the store. I heard soaking the boots in water for 1hr is a good way to shrink them. I’m gonna try that, nothing to lose.

Darren w go on ebay. I got a pair of 200$ Justins for 50$. Style 2253, plus I got the nails and pegs in the outsole instead of the full stitch and cushion insoles. Boots can be expensive, but they're cheaper used.

I got a pair of Cowboy boots and when I first got them, my heels hurt so bad but now its fine and it fit fine for awhile, but then after a few months later, the boots keep slipping on my heels! What should I do or are they supposed to feel loose when you walk in them.

That's how they're supposed to fit. A quarter- to half-inch of slippage (it's a real word) in the heel is what you should be looking for. If it's over or under that parameter, that means it doesn't fit (too tight or too loose, respectively)

Or if it's almost slipping off the foot, send it back, but this time, go to an actual western outfitter, and try on the boots there. I've never trusted online boot shops because you never get to know what your perfect fit is
