Very helpful thank you! I would also love to see a beginners guide to deep pour casting. I have been watching a lot of videos on beginners guides and working with resin now for a little bit, still pretty new to it. Each of your videos have been very helpful. Thank you for all the work you put into them.

Great job teaching us, Sheri. And, thanks so much for taking your time to make this video for us. I’m sure I’ll have questions after all this settles, but right now I’m just very thankful. You are an excellent teacher.

WOW!! I have been doing countertops and table tops, wanting to do art and coasters and such...no wonder I was having troubles, no-one ever explained the differences and the need for different kinds of epoxy. Thank you so much!!!! I ALWAYS SEEM TO HAVE PROBLEMS!!! Always pushing the time and either waiting too long, or trying to get that glass top finish, instead of little divers.

Thanks for sharing this. I have a 1:1 resin I bought 3 years ago. I’ve never opened it. It has been in our garage which isn’t controlled but is insulated. And I live in the south. The B part has turned Amber-ish, do you think it is ok? I would be using it as a top layer as it is a 1:1. What do you think? Thanks!❤

Awesome video, I would love the deep pour castings and Sheri, have you poured into glass, i.e. glass jars?
@sherivegasartist
@sherivegasartist Жыл бұрын
Not yet! I would say you would need to be careful with the glass cracking from the heat of the resin as it sets.

@@sherivegasartist: Are there any large vase-size silicone molds that we can buy or make from them? I have some ideas and they involve bottles or vases around 2-3 litres?

Thanks so much for this video, it was really helpful. This might be a silly question but what do you use to clean your moulds. Thanks. 😊
@sherivegasartist
@sherivegasartist Жыл бұрын
not a silly question at all. You can clean them with some alcohol spray and paper towel for a quick clean. But the best way is hand wash with dish washing liquid.

Sheri, I've watched many of your videos and numerous videos from other artists. I am new to resin and I am extremely frustrated because, despite watching hours of footage and wasting hundreds dollars, I have yet to make a single coaster that is praiseworthy. I'm using the LetsResin stuff and I've tried alcohol inks, pigment paste, and mica. I've failed with each one. My alcohol inks just sit on top and don't spread even when I let the resin heat up. My mica just makes a puffy mess. My pigment paste sinks to the bottom. I want so badly to be an artist. I can't draw, I can't paint, I can't sculpt...I CAN Woodburn if I trace it out first. Seeing your artwork and the resin work of others looks so easy. I was sure that I could do it. Are there just people why simply can't be artists? I've lay awake wondering why I can't do this. My numerous failures have brought me to tears. I don't want to give up. I've invested so much money only to have a massive pile of failed attempts sitting on my desk. I've looked at your membership plans but they seem to cater to people who have already had some success. I've had none. Please help me!
