I figured they don't review a lot of animated movies. Even if either of them did felt that doing a review of this movie isn't worth the time, they both did bother to review The Emoji Movie. And Chris Struckmann did some reviews of other family/kids/animated movies that looked and turned out poor like Norm of the North, Nine Lives, The Nut Job 2, and Monster Truck.

This movie is WAY to fucking late. The first one came out 7 years ago and wasn’t even that successful or rememberable to warrant a sequel. It was a cookie cutter “forbidden lovers that come from two clashing sides and end up uniting them” story.

RalphJr2020 Yeah, it is basically Gnome Story, but why use gnomes in the first place though? Toys make sense because that’s what Children (who are going to be the main audience of this movie)like to play with all the time, but gnomes are just not even that common or popular garden decorations. I feel like they just used gnomes have a punny title and didn’t think of anything else.

Really, the biggest problem was that they tried to cram in two different stories. They should have made it all about Sherlock Gnomes and Watson. Heck, people should check out Sherlock Hound, an animated series made in the 80s with Hayao Miyazaki behind a couple of the episodes. This movie is just garbage, but I did like when they went into Sherlock's mind and we got those really good and fun 2D sequences.

I remember when they mention Ray Harryhousen in Monster Inc. But at least that reference made since because Ray is known for making stop motion monster movies. The reference in Sherlock Gnome doesn't work because the only relation that you can give to it is that they are both animation.

Doesn't change the fact that THAT DETAIL is just a small detail in the story/plot. Saying he is a replicant is like saying Woody from Toy Story is a toy. It doesn't really tell you anything about the plot. Those people need to shut the fuck up & get over it already

John Perry I mean wasn't K's character being a Replicant part of the storyline? Throughout the first have we spend the movie wondering if he's a replicant or not in the same sense that we wondered if Deckard was one or not.

TooCooFoYou it's revealed withing seconds of the movie that he is a replicant. Plus, if you pay close attention to the trailers, they slowly & quietly tell you that he is in fact a replicant. That was one of the takeaways I found with the trailers. We know he is in fact a replicant. Whether you know he is a replicant or not, it doesn't really tell you anything about the plot. It's a small detail in a bigger story. That's why I think it's stupid & childish for Rodney to complain about it the way he is.
