@@videocurios its a bit of a shock to learn that the villain of the Sherlock Homes stories had two grown up childern with a female singer. so far Homes does not have any bad feelings about them like he did with their dad.

A wonderful & affectionate send-up of the Holmes/Watson relationship. There was also a great radio play "Holmes & Freud" which explored the possibikity of Freud meeting Holmes.

Interesting point. The word used back then was BOLLOX, meaning rubbish and I'v heard it said on Just a Minute, for instance. Most people don't know about this until someone is brave enough to use the word again. Bloody funny though!

WOW!!!!!! Watson killed Holmes!?!?!? I have GOT to hear the rest of this!!! John Moffatt also played Poirot in dramatic audio stories. Wonder how Mr. Doyle would have liked (or not) it?

Doyle grew to hate Sherlock Holmes and did try to kill him off, but Queen Victoria was displeased. He had to resurrect him.

a really good one - thanks. really funny and full of doubt and expectancy - he couldn't possibly be gone, it's an impossible possibility - but he is! no he isn't! LOL how could Sherlock not have a way out? never happen :) (of course, the whole thing is absurd, as no where is there any inkling of this trait in Watson at all - so good to realize :} they are real people right? i mean, you know. . .

I have to wonder about the motive behind writing it. Did the writer not like Holmes? *UN* fan-fiction writing. There are actually plays about this story.

Watson DOES make a good case, though. He was a doctor of medicine. These professionals can hardly be bumblers. It's uncomfortable but hardly unfounded.
