Martin in The Hobbit is a-mazing! his "acting chops" when it comes to communicating without dialogue is awesome. (ie. just his expressions speak such emotion & thought)

6:47 - Not really. He's not doing it for money but he's certainly doing it for kicks. The analogy to a drug addict is a good one because he'll go for the kick even if he doesn't accidentally do a good thing along the way. I also want to appreciate Trin again for her perception r.e. the Sherlock / Mary relationship. Amazing instinct on the mysteries in previous episodes; now, about the characters and their motivations. When you both are talking about the upcoming episode and Rob's saying obviously there is going to be a marriage but wondering if you'll see any of it and we all here know it's the whole episode about the wedding, is such a good start for us :D Now I'm going to watch the second part, but I had to write this down. If it hasnt come up, the episode titles are often riffs on the original Holmes stories, like A Study in Scarlet, or The Sign of Four, but with a different relevance to the stories they came up with.

Wow; Haven't seen the LOTR movies yet?! I am genuinely excited for you! So jealous. You watch the extended editions of Fellowship, then Two Towers and finally Return of the king. Then you take a break. Then you rewatch them again and again until you shuffle off this mortal coil. Because they are not considered some of the best movies, possibly the best trilogy, based on one of the best tales for no reason. Then at your leisure you can enjoy the Hobbit trilogy (Unexpected journey, Desolation of Smaug, Battle of the 5 armies). They are fun. It is technically the prequel to LOTR being based on the previous book. It has its negatives, but a lot of that is being compared to the stunningly great LOTR. Martin Freeman is FANTASTIC in it. He's also great as Arthur Dent in the film version of Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. And yes, he's really good in season 1 of Fargo. 😁👍 Have fun.

Oooh, I have a recommendation for you. It's an old comedy show from 2000, Bruiser. Martin was in it along with Mitchell and Webb and Olivia Coleman. I think you can find all the episodes on youtube and it's very funny

I would say for sure due The Hobbit... And due yourself a favor and watch Hobbit before Lord of the Rings. For one...chronologically, it does come before Lord of the Rings... And two, it will keep you from constantly comparing Hobbit to Lord of the Rings. Taken as itself, Hobbit is good...but it is far overshadowed by Lord of the Rings.

you should ABSOLUTELY watch Lord of the Rings. even if you don’t normally enjoy fantasy type movies you will appreciate the film making and story telling. it is worth devoting the time!
