Hi Sherri! Prayers are so powerful its amazing!!!! Your step of faith and strength to choose to love yourself is a true miracle! The devil wants us to hate ourselves and seek self destructive behaviours it is a cycle of pain that is so hard to break but you are doing it! One day at a time. . .I am 3 years sober and the first year is the toughest when emotions and stress attacks the evil voice in your head will say "you know that drug will make you feel better right now" Call it a liar and say I rebuke you in Jesus name! Remember the destruction of drugs and know your childhood sober joy will return slowly but surely. It took me 6 months to feel content and happy to be sober and it is such a gift to not have to chase a high anymore. I love you and I am so proud of you. Stay strong and keep Jesus close He loves you more than you can ever know.

Yeah unlike her friend who just storms off being jelous. That guy even told her she is getting something... but... really bad addicts don't have patience for anything. I am a recovering heroin and meth addict...I know exactly what I'm talking about. If Sheri really wants the help...she sure as hell don't need people like that girl around her who just drags everyone down with them. I know for a fact if that girl had the opportunity to steel the money and gifts from Sheri she would in a heart beat. No doubt about that!!

A lot of addicts are too afraid or ashamed to ask for help or just don't want it or don't know how to find it. Most addicts can't get the help they need by doing it all alone hense Sherri here. I think there are more resources and more people willing to help addicts in todays society more than ever. HELP IS NEVER TOO FAR AWAY!!👍 you just gotta take off the blinders for a minute to see 👀

This girl is my cousin. I love her so much and miss her every day. But, EVERYONE should know that WE have tried everything to help and gone above and beyond to be there BUT you can only help those who want to be helped. She may want to be helped in a way but may need to gain more strength to help herself. Sherri, if you see this know I love you and miss you. I pray for you every day and I hope you gain the strength to be the kind, funny, happy and strong person I know and love.

@Alisha Yates I'm sorry to hear that this is your loved one. I know what you're going through. I have an Aunt that is the same. You never know when it may finally click with them. For so long I begged her to stop and get off the streets and all that comes with that, which you are well aware of. Long story short, one night I checked in on her to make sure she was alive, it was a cold rainy night. As usual I told her I still had a car that would come pick her up in five minutes to go to rehab help center completely free to her. She always would say no or one day. I never pushed anymore since that didn't work. To my shock later she got back to me and said yes send the car! She got clean and healthy and into a halfway house. Sadly she soon did relapse and leave. BUT it was enough to keep her wanting better at the least a roof over head and she has done so! She is still an addict using badly but at least she has and keeps a rented room and is off the streets and not prostituting. So you never know when that person will finale say yes to a start for change even if it's not a complete turn around. I still check up on her (I'm the only one who does) to make sure she is alive and remind her of rehab options, but she has to want it. I pray your loved ones get the help they need. Know your actions will be remembered and thought of by her!

I Get your side and I get her side because I was in her position watching my family struggle, crying, hurting, doing everything they could to help me while I was hurting also not knowing how to get clean beings that I could not go 4 hours without the drug. No matter what you or anyone else does its all going to boil down to her. She's fighting two addictions. The drug and the lifestyle. The freedom of running the streets at night drug scoring lifestyle is so addicting. Good luck & I wish you the best.

I'm almost positive that the money she's been given will have been stolen or used on drugs. Wouldn't it be better to use the money to buy clothing/bedding/food or even a few nights at a motel so she can sleep safe, shower and have normality for a while. Melissa was so jealous of her getting money, I worry about Sherri and her safety.

Sherri is the sweetest. Unlike her friend who got mad cause she didn’t get any money. Sherri appreciates it all. She cried from the letters and smiled when she got to pick out some food. And she didn’t take wat she didn’t need even though some of em take it just to go sell it. God bless Sherri. My sister in law was exactly like Sheri. We had to stop giving her money because she would just buy drugs. We gave her brand new clothes and she would sell them for drugs. The same thing with gift cards for fast food. It was so frustrating. She went through at least 8 rehab programs. We tried just about everything. She was in her 40s left her 2 beautiful children to live on the streets.. It was so sad. Sheri reminds me of her so much. Anyway on her 50th birthday all of her relatives including us gave her gifts. That night she was found dead. I guess she took all of the money, clothes and gift cards she was given and bought drugs. In a way its a relief to know she is at peace. May she rest in peace.

I had a boyfriend who passed from suicide December 5th, 2016. He was sober for 8 years years did great in life. Relapsed and ended his life! 42 years old.

But when I decided I'd had enough, I never lapsed once, vomited a lot for 3mnths, but I did it. And never looked back. Ive Been clean 8yrs now. My son was my reason to do it, he nearly caught me shooting up one day, and that's when I decided I'm not letting him grow up seeing this. No regrets since. Life is good. We left area where I had addiction, started fresh. Pass on my love to Sherri. Xx

I figure whenever that happens they will come up with perimeters. I remember the first time i knew folks who had lived in states where it had been legal n they sure burst my buble. I assumed it would be like alcohol rules n one could drink when on their own time n they sure set me straight. I mean its craxy its so much stricter than alcohol when alcohol constantly kills n abuses in every way possible to loved ones big n small. By the way, im not a smoker though i have done it, think its a reqirememt in my age range, lol. Im also a very rare drinker but i am very passionate about at least a national legalization medically on marijuana, esp with all the dangerous crap they are stuffing down kids now! Tom, recovering addict here. I rarely if ever comment on a video. Here I just really felt the need. It’s people like you who give these people just that sliver of hope they need. Very, very few people want to live a life of addiction. They are people in a grip of something completely beyond their control. These people are not lazy or unintelligent. They aren’t “evil” or “mean”. Even though it may not look like it they are doing the best they can with what they have. I’ve spent time in rehab with lawyers, business men, even former professional athletes. This disease doesn’t discriminate. Those faceless nameless individuals you drive by every single day are real people with feelings, hopes, and dreams. Just like you. If you don’t know an addict today, you will. Many people “care”. But very few take action to actually help. You don’t just give hope to these addicts, but their family and friends as well. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate what you do. People like you truly do make the world a better place.

Sherri is a sweetheart. She appreciates every penny extended to her. I'm an addict in recovery so hard to find a way to help that doesnt enable us. Trust me 10 or 20$ wont make nor break us. The more I watch these videos the more I 😢 I'm not what you say homeless but I am a couch surfer and so many of these ladies stories are just like me and I wish I had a TOM around to help me all you wonderful people who look past our problems and actually see we are a human being and we have feelings and a heart and we hurt and we're not just a piece of trash.. Trying to dig yourself up out of darkness when you can't ever see the light is so hard. And it's just so nice to see so many people With kindness and compassion.. All we want is for people even if you can't understand our issues still understand that we still want love and kindness... Thank you

Sherri is so sweet ❤️ I pray she can get the help that she needs 🙏 I myself used to be in her shoes , I got in trouble with the law and got arrested and sent to rehab. After a week in rehab I found out I was pregnant with my son, it was the hardest thing I had to do and go through and at times I just wanted to give up and go back but I didn’t. My son is now 21 years old and I’ve been clean for 21 years now. My son saved my life because if it wasn’t for him god knows where I would be right now. My son is my hero. I now have 3 beautiful young adults ❤️ thank you Won for everything you are doing with everyone on the street ❤️

WOW! She went down hill FAST in just a few months. Tweaking bad! DON'T DO DRUGS KIDS! Find other ways to cope! Biking, Hiking, Music, anything but DRUGS and Drinking. DON'T DO IT! It's a death sentience and at the least, it will FRY your brain into a bucket of mush and you will NEVER be the same.
