Although she made the grade as a player, she forgot that to be revered as a Legend in retirement she also has a responsibility to nurture and promote without prejudice the next generation of players and the sport as a whole. CC plays a Stephen Curry+Larry Bird kind of basketball. Most of the league plays Bill Laimbeer basketball against her because they don't have the basketball skills to play straight up against her. Not much different than the NBA. The only way to stop Jordan, LeBron, Shaq, Curry, etc., was to foul them. Unfortunately CC is not as masculine, not as muscular as those knocking her around. She grew up p[laying basketball, not thug style street ball. She doesn't need any special protection, unless calling fouls appropriately that are consistently committed against her is called special protection.

I think this is normal. There were plenty of veterans and players who publicly questioned the Williams sisters, MJ, Tiger Woods,Ronaldo,Brady, LeBron, etc. when they were in the first 2-3 years of their professional careers. CC has shown that she's exceptional and can be an industry shifter. Her job is to improve and remain consistent and that's the only way athletes become GOATS. Time and her work ethic will decide.
