I think it was 1993 when I met Sheryl Crow for an interview in Cologne, Germany, where she was playing at the Luxor club. I was at journalism school and her first album Tuesday Night Music Club had just been released. There were not many people, mostly record company guys. But her songs were just beautiful. And she had that lovely, kind, free-spirited, warm-hearted, easy going and down to earth personality, while we had a beer together. No arrogance at all. What I love about her? After all her success she still seems to be that good hearted person today. She's so not fucked up, and that's a great thing these days, isn't it? ❤

She has had an enduring career going back nearly 30 years in the spotlight. She has hits in multiple genres/categories and has written songs for other superstars including Celine Dion and Stevie Nicks. She was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year. I’d say she has been noticed and is doing just fine!

Sheryl Crow was likely my #1 Fave Female Artist back in 2005. I live in Omaha, and that very year, I saw her TWICE in Council Bluffs, Iowa; once inside an arena and once outside in an intimate venue; where my buddy and I were VERY CLOSE to her and her band! 😍😍 She has sort of faded into the background for me for more than a decade and a half, but I truly need to focus much more attention on her and her music once again! I think I have about 8 or 9 of her albums and 3 or 4 of her DVD's.
