It's kind of the opposite for me. That episode of Wind Waker where he went around underwater Hyrule. My child self wanted to explore that place so bad. And the triforce you couldn't see at the end of the game was a bit mindblowing.
@jiminism16178 жыл бұрын
reek I totally agree! But there's also parts of games where when you see what's really beyond the boundaries, there's nothing, and it's a disappointing feeling bc you imagined it in your head differently. You imagined there actually being something beyond the places you couldn't explore, but when you really see its undeveloped, it's kinda saddening. Especially with childhood games like Zelda, because video games feel so real you forget they're fake. It's still extremely interesting to see what's there though, I have so much curiosity and watching these videos/attempting to boundary break myself is very fun & addicting to do :D

Akeyume it's unfortunate. The Wii gives us the option to use an sd card but because they were too slow in 2006. You had to move things back and forth from card to system memory. Not to mention, it was actually less then 512 MB because of the operating system:(

When I was screwing around with hacks using Homebrew, I found something interesting. If you go into Karane or Zelda's room in the academy and take the camera outside the walls (or walk through the walls using a hack), you can actually find a chest with a piece of heart. I'm guessing that this is where the piece of heart in Zelda's closet is stored. There's another chest where an item is stored in Eldin Volcano. In the room with Eldin, the fire dragon, if you take the camera through the walls, there is a chest with a Goddess Harp. Again, this is likely stored there since you learn part of the Song of the Hero.

EyeOfTheOwler If you mean before Zelda enters the crystal, you actually don't need boundry break to see- the door is left a crack open even at the vedy start when you first go to the surface, so by entering first person mode ("c" on the nunchuck) and looking at it you'll see the inside of the room. Nintendo suprisingly does this in a few more locations as well.

Something you probably either missed or didn't know though, is that if you use Gecko codes to never sink in quicksand and moon jump, you can jump over the fence at the Lanayru Sand Sea port and that collision on the sea is practically endless. I sprinted out on the sand for a long time until the sand textures disappeared but I was still sprinting on collision.

Alex D Some times they do- or at least leave a model, whether it is just for attention to detail (most notably in games where the player can control the camera) or because they planned something but ended up not leaving it in- it can be quite interesting what animtors/ graphics designers leave just off screen at times- and don't forget Dark Souls leaving to-scale models of literslly every area in the game in an acturate location, even if you will never see it or go there.
