Actually in Holy Mass, Jesus is the one saying the Mass offering it to His Father all his Unbloody Sacrifice for the sins of His ungrateful children who are unaware of what's really going on the Mass. They are more eager to end the Mass so they can turn on their TV for the championship game of soccer or football or any sports that's going on that Holy Day of the Lord. They are more knowledgeable of every steps of their favorite games but they never study what is happening in Calvary.

Not sure where you live but there are traditional Latin Masses!!! I’ve been going every Sunday and I haven’t felt this fulfilled and happy since my 1st Holy Communion!!! I too wish all masses would go back to the traditional Latin Mass. so much has been taken out and a Latin Mass is so sacred and so holy. A Roman Catholic mass is now a half hour compared to a Latin Mass which is almost 2 hours.

@@melissameow215 I just found that out. Mass of the ages website had a map. There are 5 churches within an hour drive of me that offer Latin Mass. I’m going this Sunday to my first one with my grandfather’s 1962 missal. I have no idea what I’m doing but I’m going.

@@sptomase oh my goodness I’m so happy for you!!!! I went with my mom to my first Latin mass two Sundays ago. And I was overcome with excitement and I was filled with the Holy Spirit. Something I haven’t felt since I made my 1st Holy Communion in 3rd grade. My mom also brings her 1962 missal that she saved up for as a child. It was $5.00 back then too!!! She went to neighbors and asked to babysit, she collected cans, she sang in the choir, and her missal means everything to her!!! I drive an hour and half to go to New Jersey and I would drive hours more if I had to. You’ll have to let me know what you think!!!! It’s so sacred. Also Thursday I’m going to my first Latin Requiem Mass for All Souls Day and also my very first as well. I couldn’t be more joyous reading this comment from you. I thought I would be extremely emotional but I was overcome with love and happiness. So much so I was asking my mom “so when is the next Latin Mass!!??” She taught us kids hymns in Latin and is fluent because she had it all 12 years of school. So she wears a veil and she is that child that I’ve heard so much about when I see her next to me in mass. It’s the most beautiful experience. Nothing compares. I feel like I waited my whole life for this. And I went to Catholic school all 12 years as well but everything wasn’t like it used to be when my mom grew up. I go to that service at 12:30 on Sundays. It is truly amazing... ALL your senses are on overdrive. I stand in the back to observe and absorb it all. I cannot describe the feeling. I tear up throughout the service. One gentleman passed out this Sunday... i would not be surprised if it happened from the emotion. I pray he is okay. Pray for us Mater Dei! Viva Cristo Rey!

Trill but I prefer my Eastern rite I have experience Latin but for me I more like my Greek As a orthodox Christian is just my opinion and it goes all the way back with so much history❤ But we do have Western in the orthodox but it's all of it is in English in similar ways of the latin form❤

That's where you belong and as a Roman Catholic my eastern Rite friend brought me there, but as you said about the Roman Mass, that's how I felt, too about your Rite. It's too loud for me. And your credo is different from the Roman Catholic. It seems like you believe that God the Father has 2 sons not only Jesus Christ.

I understand Shia completely. It's almost inexplicable when you are pulled into the Sacred . I don't have that same feeling at at a Novus Ordo Mass. The Latin Mass unites me to all those who came before me.

This is why Francis' attacks on the TLM are not only uncalled for but are ridiculously imprudent and prejudiciallly callous. As Benedict stated in Summorum Pontificam there's absolutely no reason why both forms can't be offered simultaneously in the Latin rite just like the fact that there are 22 other rites within the Catholic Church that exist parallel to the Latin rite. No, the reason why he's attacking the TLM has nothing to do with spirituality and everything to do with politics and his vehement hatred for Tradition and his inordinate love for novelty for its own sake.
