Meanwhile, Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam stated, “An accursed man will enter your presence.” ‘Abdullah continues, I continued looking inside and outside حتى دخل فلان يعني الحكم until so and so i.e. Hakam entered.[83] Worthy of noting is that this report is among the solitary reports. If accepted as correct, then Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam did not curse by determining a certain individual by name. Rather, he informed of the entering of an accursed person. A certain person entered. One of the narrators determines him as Hakam. This means that the original narration does not have the name Hakam emphatically. However, Hakam was taken as the referred to at a later stage. In this way, this report is not clear in its indication to the subject, but is actually the assumption of the narrator. Secondly, it is reported on the authority of Sayyidina ‘Abdullah ibn al Zubair radiya Llahu ‘anhuma that while reclining on the Ka’bah, he reported the following statement of Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam: لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم فلانا و ما ولد من صلبه Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam cursed so and so and the offspring from his loins.[84] This narration is among the solitary reports. if accepted as accurate, it has cursed a certain individual and his children, without determining who he is. His name does not appear in the original narration, nor was it determined by any narrator. Thirdly, it is reported on the strength of Sayyidina ‘Abdullah ibn al Zubair radiya Llahu ‘anhuma: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لعن الحكم و ولده Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam cursed Hakam and his issue.[85] The scholars have scrutinised the chain of this report and have criticised it. Therefore, this report is not correct and is not worthy of being presented as proof. For example, one of these narrators is Ahmed ibn Muhammad ibn al Hajjaj ibn Rushdin al Misri. Al Dhahabi has written in Talkhis al Mustadrak that Ibn ‘Adi declared him weak. Al Dhahabi writes in volume one of Mizan al I’tidal that Ibn ‘Adi says that the people have labelled Ibn Rushdin a liar and that he has many munkar reports and many false reports and fabrications are reported from him.[86] Similarly, the same criticism is found in Lisan al Mizan. Hafiz Ibn Hajar adds that Ahmed ibn Salih al Rushdini is declared a liar.[87] Criticism is found for him in Kitab al Jarh wa al Ta’dil of al Razi (volume one, section one). More narrators in this chain are criticised, however, he has been sufficed upon. In short, this narration is not authentic with regards to its chain. Therefore, it cannot be used as proof.

I am a Shia and I belong to a very orthodox Shia family. Never have I ever been taught to pray and curse anyone let alone the Sahabas(RA Ajmaeen). Its sad to see lots of Shias bring tradition, culture and centuries old political beliefs and merge it with religion. When you compare an average Shia and an average Sunni wallahi the difference is just that of a school of thought (like that of a Hanafi or a Maliki) but when you compare extremists like these it sadly makes it seem like there's a night and day difference between us. Its also very disappointing as a Shia to know that so many of the Sunnis will think this is how we are when in reality wallahi this is against the teaching of Rasoolullah(pbuh) and our own school of thought!

In addition, the prophet had very clearly stated that what he left behind was his family and the Quran. Ask yourself, who was next to the prophet when he passed away? Who was there at every battle and would step up to protect the prophet when everyone else was scared? Who was burying the prophet while the others were focused on Calipha. Do research about the history of the following successors or the Imams and the hardship they faced in order to protect the purity of islam against tyrants. I don't mean to hate on you in any way but I do ask that you deep dive into history and think about what happened. Who the prophet cherished the most and was the closest too.

I was born into an Iraqi Shia family but I have no fucking clue what this man is doing... I am 33 and just started wearing hijab and taught myself how to pray by watching KZbin vids.... But this is confusing... When I told my dad how I was praying (arms crossed) he freaked and said your fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore father's were all Shia how can you just decide to be Sunni? Lol.. my logic is if 90% are Sunni and only 10% are Shia then I'll go with the majority. Thus whoever curses the them is not doing the right thing. But I really recommend you to read books about death/martyrdom of the Sayedah Fatimah, daughter of Prophet (saw). According to many of Shia historians and a few Sunni historians too, attack on Imam Ali (as)'s house was commanded by Abu Bakr and propagated by Omar. This is just one part of why we think the first three caliphs were unjust. Then there are many other things, them denying the command of Prophet at Ghadeer e Khum, rejecting appeal and witnesses of daughter of Prophet (as) bibi Fatimah (sa) for the Garden of Fidak, usurping the caliphate, waging war against Imam (as). I myself can't say history is a 100% true, but this is my Aqeedah and I strive to learn other views and aspects.

Another man came and asked the permission to enter. The Prophet علیہ السلام said, Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise. Behold! It was `Umar. Then another man came, asking the permission to enter. The Prophet علیہ السلام kept silent for a short while and then said, Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise with a calamity which will befall him. Behold! It was `Uthman bin `Affan. `Asim, in another narration, said that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم was sitting in a place where there was water, and he was uncovering both his knees or his knee, and when `Uthman entered, he covered them (or it). ................ Sahih Bukhari 3671: Narrated Muhammad bin Al-Hanafiya: I asked my father (`Ali bin Abi Talib علیہ السلام), Who are the best people after Allah's Apostle ? He said, Abu Bakr. I asked, Who then? He said, Then `Umar. I was afraid he would say Uthman, so I said, Then you? He said, I am only an ordinary person.

So I watched him and he stood and said the takbir, and raised his hands until they were in the level with his ears, then he placed his right hand over his left hand, wrist and lower forearm. When he wanted to bow he raised his hands likewise. Then he prostrated and placed his hands in level with his ears. Then he sat up and placed his left leg under him; he put his left hand on his left thigh and knee, and he put the edge of his right elbow on his right thigh, then he held two of his fingers together and made a circle, and raised his forefinger, and I saw him moving it and supplicating with it.

Allâh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.
