Bob and Brad, I was a medic in the Army and would always watch your videos to tell other soldiers how to recover. I’m happy you’re still doing videos and hope you’re feeling okay. I just came across your massage gun and shiatsu massage pillow. I got spondy in L5-S1 and been using this on the rest of my back has been great. I was lucky enough to get your massage gun with the heating and cooling element as well and it’s been very helpful. Thank you guys for what you do! I pray you guys receive many blessings for helping the world out with such useful knowledge. Take care and you guys are the greatest, it’s not an opinion!

I think Brad is trying to say おねがいします pronounced oh-ney-guy-she-mass, which generally means please (do X), which fits with the idea of politely requesting to help someone and for them to return the favour and the philosophy of giving and receiving being seen as equally important gifts for everyone.

When working in the back it’s better for the receiver to have their arms at their sides. This relaxes all the channels, muscles and facia of the torso.

Fabulous! Palm (massage) either side of the spine first, then thumb! And you don't have to thumb hard, it's more about how long you stay on the point. If everyone gave each other a Shiatsu every day we would have less people going to hospitals for acute health problems For those who want to try Shiatsu on family or friends, don't do it on pregnant ladies or seniors. Send them to a professional. Thanks guys, going to share this!

Hi guys - just learned that Brad studied Aikido and then from a recent video, I realized you also have Spondylolisthesis. I have that same background and have ALWAYS wondered if the Aikido contributed in a major way, to my own Spondylolisthesis. Your thoughts on that? Thanks
@BobandBrad5 жыл бұрын
I personally do not believe Aikido had any negative influence on my Spondy condition.

Hey Bob & Brad. Student Physio here. What are your thoughts on the "Peanut" - Equivalent of 2 Lacrosse Balls in a Sock, to roll out the paraspinal muscles. Technically, the spine getting rolled but I think it's high risk high reward because of the proximity to the spine. It's technically rolling out paraspinals and the Zagopophyseal joints and a bit of the Transverse processes. I've rolled these out with 'stiff' soft lacrosse balls (Yoga Tune Up Balls) and it's fine. I'm thinking that in clinic we do the soft minimal risk stuff and the clients are welcome to use whatever they want at home without our express endorsement :|
