Why a bath in the first place? Fleas? Skunked? Shibas are naturally clean and don't require grooming. I know, I have one and had 3 prior. Poor baby! ^. .^ ~

Shibas do get dirty, they can get yeast infections and coat issues plus get peed on by the occasional cat they catch to eat and get fleas too so you need to bathe them, like all animals do..The only dog you don't occasionally wash is a Sony Aibo.
