Hi Haz, congratulations on the progress you’ve made in regards to Mace’s training. Thank you for posting videos of Mace’s training. I find them very interesting. I often think back to the first video where you introduced Mace to the world of KZbin. The one where you videoed him growling and his missing front teeth. LOL. Look at him now. I hope you’re enjoying training him as much as we’re enjoying the training videos. Ciao!

These aren't just your average Dutch shepherds. A recent stud dog with bred to a Presa Canario and then they'll breed them back. They also cross with apbt and other Mastiff breeds and working German shepherds. This is how you get the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds with a lot more muscle tone, larger heads, shorter wider muzzles
@AdamDogman
@AdamDogman Жыл бұрын
@@primalcritters It's interesting that these BRN dogs have apbt, german shepard and mastifs in their bloodline but them dutch won't confirm this hehe. But this makes their dogs more healthy, bigger, with strong nerves and with this temperament you can see with Mace. I really like these dogs.
@primalcritters

@@AdamDogman I know it's funny to me. Every time I say it to somebody they're like oh no way he's a purebred Mali or Dutch shepherd. Bullshit. Scott's protection k9s or something like that go look at some of their dogs. All knpv lines mainly "Malinois"... but they all clearly have working German Shepherd in them Mastiff or apbt. I'm sorry, there are no 105-lb Malinois with thick bones and heads the size of a pitbull. I have no problem with it. I think they produce better dogs frankly because I find purebred dutchies and Malinois to be too fine bones and need a little bit more muscle but still retain tenacity and agility. Also better nerves. I like what the Dutch produce, I just wish they would be honest and call them X herders or X Shepherds

A question I imagine will unfortunately be ignored:: I have two purebred German Shepherd dogs that are literally cannibals. They killed two of my other adult dogs, dogs they'd been ok with for a year, and then they are them. One of the large dogs they killed and partially ate that Thus far have not dug him up and ate his remains further since I buried him. The other dog they killed -- another GSD, they literally dug her body up and ate most of it last night. What would cause this??? Sincerely, they are free fed and have tons of dog food. They have a large fenced property to run on.
@wamy80s

Untrained?? Do you train them??
@mysticbengals521
@mysticbengals521 Жыл бұрын
@@wamy80s so I'd say if dogs are not trained and two dogs are on top of a third dog biting her. When you verbally command them to stop untrained dogs will just continue the dog fight. They do not stop immediately if they have no concept of obedience. They also did not go after the dog they were mauling when she got up and ran away (she died later due to intestinal tear from the attack). They also waited on both occasions until I left to go to the store. They did not do it in front of me. So I don't think it comes down to training. It's just totally bizarre.
@mysticbengals521
@mysticbengals521 Жыл бұрын
@@wamy80s P.S.vi truly don't have an explanation. I have not worked with these dogs super recently but they still obeyed verbal command immediately when I spoke telling them to stop. I watch videos regularly of people with dogs on leash lunging on the leash trying to get at another dog and the owner is pulling to no avail, other than the leash holding the dog back, sometimes barely, as the dog keeps pulling, lunging, etc. I see videos regularly of people physically trying to pull their dog off another dog and what it takes if they're even successful. I just issued one verbal command and bo th of my attaching dogs stopped in the middle of their mauling. Then when the GSD they were mauling got up and ran the two attackers stayed off of her -- they didn't even really look at her and I don't recall representing the command to stop but maybe I did. Either way off leash they obeyed me.

As someone said, this dog has some screws loose. And I'm no trainer, and no "positive only" bull* or "put him to sleep" bull*. But I believe this is no dog for a family, protection or competition. Good job with the progress on him and I really wish I'm wrong and wish both of you well and hope for more progression in the future. But my personal opinion is that this is a dog for a particular person that can just take care of him.
@AnimaTriste
@AnimaTriste Жыл бұрын
You are no trainer. And that's a fact. But somehow you think we are interested in your stupid and uninformed opinion. Here in Europe we regularly train dogs like this, even more aggressive than this dog. You wouldn't believe how high percentage of them can be successfuly trained. Many surprising us in positive way, even when initial prognosis is not looking good. Not all can be trained, yes. But you can't judge that by looking at a few minutes of a video. You, not being a trainer, especially. I'm no chef, for example. Even if I cook some meals for me and my family. So, you will not see me expressing my cooking opinions nowhere. But, I'm a dog trainer, behavior specialist and decoy, for 36 years already, and I'm simply irritated by people like you.
@DC-xv5po
@DC-xv5po Жыл бұрын
@@AnimaTriste Well I feel bad for the dogs you "train" then. I will share with you another one of my opinions (and I do hope you get irritated by this as well). If you can get so worked up just from someone who simply shared their opinion in a comment, I feel bad for the dogs that get caught in your hands. For me, you just demonstrated how bad you are with your emotions and you shouldn't have a job that involves actual living beings, especially not train or educate anyone and anything. And I still stand by what I said, that this is not a dog for anyone. Haz here seems to be the perfect fit for a dog like that. In hands like yours, I'm sure it will be just a mess. P.S. I too am from Europe, and especially a country with lot of dogs full of problems and had some of them on my hands (as a foster until adoption) and I know how fixable are most of their problems.
@AnimaTriste

@@DC-xv5po Oh, now, we touched a nerve? Go cry to your mommy. You wrote: this is not a dog for family, protection or competition. Literally like that. Who the fuck are you, that you can write such bullshit? To me it seems like a very stable and good dog. He can compete. And he can be used in protection. Is he a future family dog? You could be surprised. Probably not. But it's too soon to tell. Too many normal, healthy dogs are getting such "evaluations" today, and it's costing them lives. From a people like you. Who, oh, are capable of some kind of deeper understanding? No. Just bullshit. I have saved more dogs, than you will ever see in your life. All the time battling with stupid, rude people like you. You simply can not process the fact, that it's highly rude to even think, that someone should be interested in your uninformed and stupid opinion. On a professional dog training channel of highest level. So you must stir drama, talk about emotions. My emotions towards dogs are OK, you can be sure of that. But towards stupid people, who express their opinions, when they should shut up, not so much. They are damaging the dogs, and dog training. Here in Europe to the point, that many dogs will not be rehabilitated anymore under the new legislation.
@DC-xv5po
@DC-xv5po Жыл бұрын
@@AnimaTriste 1. No nerve touched. I'm not mad or anything. You're the only one in an offensive position. As I said before, I just shared my opinion. 2 . About dogs costing their lives I just said that I'm not into putting him to sleep bullshit, cause the dog is not broken. He just needs someone with strong knowledge that know how to handle him in order for both the handler (being him a family for the dog) and dog to enjoy a nice, happy, long live together. Yea, if dogs are trained to do protection, some will be easy to handle and some will not and so it will need someone with strong knowledge. A family dog or a pet is a dog that can be given to any family (with kids or any other pets etc). This is not that type of dog, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't deserve to have a family. He just needs a family with strong knowledge, again. And so on. 3. And please don't talk to me about professional dog trainers in Europe. Since the pandemic started everyone wanted a pet, most of the people wanted dogs because it was a way of "getting out of the house and socialize". And because demands we're high, of course all the "professional dog trainers" pop out of nowhere and everyone was a trainer. I've met fucked up dogs because of trainers like this. Anyone can have a name for themselves. That doesn't mean anything. I've met "trainers" where I walk my dogs and guess what?! My dogs are better well behaved than theirs (and not because of me, I did trained them myself, but I did watched and learned how to from all the real trainers out there). So if you're mad about some legislations that is happening in your local country, you're yelling to the wrong person here (and you should've understood that from my first comment).

I don't comment a lot, but every now and then I see comments that are so ridiculous, they need a response. There are professionals who train dogs to work with calm, controlled confidence in the bite and then there are the unprofessional, gangster type people. Any professional knows that in sport work, a calm controlled, full grip is a requirement. If you go into a competition with a wild, thrashing, uncontrolled dog, you are likely going to get disqualified, or not do very well. In police work, the purpose of a calm, full grip, is to apprehend and hold a bad guy, not maim, injure and kill him. No matter what type of work you are doing, it is important to have a dog with confidence and control, not some dog wildly thrashing and trying to kill whatever it has in its mouth. The person who trains a dog in this way, is surely a clown and has no place in the world of dog sport, police work, or protection. So to say the purpose of head thrashing is to cause as much damage as possible, is idiotic and extremely unprofessional. You clearly have no concept of protection training.

You clearly didn't listen to anything of what he actually said in the video. "Unless he's full grips and headbanging, I'll tolerate that. But if you're not to the molars (back teeth/full grips), you'd better not be headbanging." He's teaching the dog exactly what he should be teaching, which is the same thing he teaches all his biting dogs. It shouldn't be "shaking like a komodo dragon" when clearly the only thing its holding with is the front teeth. THAT is how you ruin a good biting dog, and probably fuck up/lose its front teeth.

The goal of an apprehension dog is not to maul someone, but to provide a non-lethal way of subduing a suspect. Thrashing causes unnecessary tissue damage for both decoys and suspects and reduces control. Even for personal protection, you should not be training dogs to maul people, it's just shitty technique..

@@nicolestone6201 the most important thing is to have a full hard grip and stay crushing in one spot,without typewriting...typewriting always results in lawsuits for execcesive uof ..if the dog grips and shakes in same spot there is zero problem and from every case ive heard the officer always wins the case bc the dog did as protocol said “catch and hold the suspect in one place”...mauling has nothing to do with shaking while on grip,mauling is actually removing flesh out of suspect on purpose (not the suspect pulling back tremendously and ending up losing flesh via his fault)
