sir, i hope you won't mind if i correct you . the names of places on sign boards are written in portuguese where usually the ending "m" is silent so its pronounced as panaji for panjim , porvori for porvorim and shivoli for siolim . due to the high cost for converting the names in english the govt has not changed it . And we locals prefer it more if the places are called by local names the way marathis prefer mumbai over bombay.
