I love tomoe nage. Everyone thinks "it won't happen to me" until they go for a ride.

I foolishly bought the instructional at $10,000. If only I had known that I could have gotten it early for just $10.

Did you really buy that for 10,000

@@mrsiracha7717 of course they did, it was probably a steal too! Afterall, i got it for 50,000

You should have gotten invited to that Self Defense competition with Ramsey, Icy Mike, and Sensei Seth! I guess they're scared of Judo.

I like to Uke most times. Your Ukemi skills improve, and you can learn by feeling the throw on your body

This is great content. Thank you🙏 I only wish I had seen the vid before the instructional went up to $10 mil dollars.

Always struggled with yoko Tomoe Nage. Attacking the far hip makes sense for the angle. That was the hard part.

so it's kinda like pulling guard except you keep one foot in the inside and one in the outside, keep the outside foot planted, dont keep your arms extended and roll on your back as you keep a tight grip?

Craig Fallon had a number of tomoe nages including a really nice transition to juji gatame.

This is the throw that ended my judo training. I did it wrong, hurt myself and never regained my confidence to master it.

I'm just a Yellow Belt, so excuse the maybe dumb question. Why do you traditionally have to go over Uke's back for Sumi Gaeshi but not for Tomoe Nage? Your videos help me a lot. I bought the Soto Makikomi instructional but can't hit the throw on the Black Belts in my club.
