What's your procedure when you have to leave her? Do you bring her downstairs or just close her bedroom door to prevent her from falling down the main stairs. Our family Shihtzu just turned 14. Fortunately her walking is good but she has some inflammation and she will nip at you if you touch her on her sore spots. She doesn't do the main stairs anymore so we carry her too. Have a great 4th!!!

Since Lacey’s indoor potty is upstairs, we do leave her there when we go out. We have two sets of stairs in our house, so I put gates across both of them. That way, Lacey is able to roam around the entire upstairs area and doesn’t feel closed in 😉 It works out great and she has never had a potty accident. Hey Kerri! We had a nice weekend, but boy is it ever hot and muggy. Just typical July weather around here 🥵 So Lacey won't be outside for too long, just a few minutes here and there. She tries her best to get around, but she gets tired easily and then she is ready for her nap 😴 Oh yes, that sure is one huge frog 🐸 He/she is definitely the largest we have ever seen around the pond. Oh wow, Ali will be quite busy this summer enjoying all of the family. That is wonderful 😊 So you and Stu have a nice time off now from work. Yes, day trips can be fun too. Sweet Lacey💗won't need much exercise these days but it's nice that she still goes for wee walks around the garden and by the pond. You can see that when Lacey sits on this grass and has a good sniff around. I'm sure she must catch the scent of the deer. I imagine Lacey naps after a wee walk and some fresh outdoor air are always the best naps. Maybe Lacey dreams of catching the deer in the act of flower munching! 'It's down to the Police Station for you, midnight fawn flower muncher!'🦌🌿🚔👮😁 But seriously, it must be a pain to have some of your garden plants eaten by the deer, even if the deer are so beautiful. The only animals of any size I have seen in my street are foxes, and even then it's usually at dusk or very early dawn. Your pond regular frog is quite a size, and seems totally at home and content. I bet he's or she's a character💚🐸 It's been quite showery here and not especially warm - just in time for the summer holidays in Scotland. Typical😒 Oh well. I am happy that Lacey is still able to get around and enjoy her little walks outside around the pond and garden 💦🐟🐸🌲 She probably does smell the deer 🦌 as they are always around on our property 🙄 We do spray deer repellent, but it obviously does not work very well. We have foxes also, they are very pretty 🦊 The first time we heard one in the middle of the night, it sounded like a baby crying. It scared the heck out of us! Kind of creepy!
