I'm ridiculously happy that an OST from Shiki got a cover. That anime is criminally underground and deserves more love.

Death is terrible for anyone. Young or old, good or evil, it's all the same. Death is impartial. There is no especially terrible death. That's why death is so fearsome. Your deeds, your age, your personality, your wealth, your beauty... They are all meaningless in the face of death

OH MY GOSH YOU DID SUCH A FANTASTIC JOB WITH THIS!!! Shiki is such a phenomenal yet underrated anime, and the soundtrack of it is literally gold, so I’m ecstatic whenever there’s a cover from the show! By the way, will you be adding this or any of your other songs from Shiki to Spotify? I’d love to listen to them there!

The whole soundtrack is godlike. First half of the anime is meh, 2nd half is pretty good
@cottoncatt11863 жыл бұрын
@@supergamehunter0539 The 2nd part wouldn't have been so good without the 1rst half where they took the time to build the atmosphere, to make us relate to the characters, to increase the feeling of loss etc etc. ^^
@supergamehunter05393 жыл бұрын
@@cottoncatt1186 Really? I barely felt anything for the characters. I felt bad for the mother who later burned alive and for the green haired nurse. Natsuno was just an idiot in the first half and the rest were forgettable. The character I liked the most was Sunako, and her entire character development was in the 2nd half.
@cottoncatt11863 жыл бұрын
@@supergamehunter0539 You don't need to feel about a character to be able to relate to them. Like in any village, there are people you like, others you don't like and some you don't know or care about. But all of them are a part of the village, part of its "normality", its life, its security through stability. Life is going foreward in its boring routine for generations. Its a peacefull village you can call home. To really immerse the viewer into this takes time. And then, something changes, something sinister is slowly disrupting that home. Routine and normality are losing their grip slowly but surely. Points of references are lost, people are starting to lose their security feeling due to something they don't know. Faster and faster reality transforms into something sinister and they can't escape. They are slowly losing their mind one way or an other. That too takes time to implement. And suddently, when they have something to blame, something to fight against, something to unleach all the despair and hatred they accumulated for so long, everything spiral down and burn out of control in an instant. Evrything is lost. It's the same thing with the shiki, it takes time to portay them as invisible, disturbing creaturs that incanate those sinister changes. And it takes times to crush that expectation of monsters = evil : it takes time to show the humanity in the monsters. And suddently, they lose control on the situation and evertything spiral down in an instant. Everything is lost. Yep the second part wouldn't be that good, that impactfull, if the first part wasn't so relatable to our ordinary life (long, boring at times, but relatively confortable and peacefull with some tiny disruptions at times).

@@cottoncatt1186 I can't say I agree, but I can understand it. It's kinda like my opinion on AngelBeats, where people may say it's boring with uninteresting characters and what not, while I consider it the be-all end-all of life philosophies. In the sense that I don't find Shiki relatable while you do, allowing you to appreciate the story a lot more than I can
