Surfcast this reel for 3 years running. looks and works like new. . Was bought at an Island tackle shop that sells nothing but saltwater stuff. ?

Tackle Advisors did a full review and tear down of this reel and it's complete junk for that price range. Way better options for that price.

sub 130$, like which one (with low ratio/retrieve)? I can only think of a BG (but jdm pg version) or LETHAL....you haven't even tried one!

caranx89 Daiwa BG, Shimano Nasci, Penn Battle 2, Fuego LT, and even the Tsunami Shield he thought was better. All in the $100 price range, give or take.

@@LanixFishingChannel May be better options, idk... but definitely a SW reel. Used for years surfcasting, have wading out to sand bars with spray in my face to cast a 6 oz a hundy yards over 2nd bar; have reeled in a many. Has more than held up, looks and acts brand new, couldn’t be happier.
