Shimano Spheros VS Penn Spinfisher 7

Much appreciated, and I am very thankful that this video is uploaded by you as I've been waiting anxiously for this comparison. I would like to know if the area where the handle is situated is metal or plastic on the Spheros? The only issue most of my friends have with Shimano reels is that the plastic screw in piece at the base of the reel when cracked takes too long to get that part. Thank you for your support and kind words. I have a full tear down video of both reels on the channel. Maybe you can have a look. But the reel foot and stem along with that half of the side plate connected to it is fully metal. The other half is plastic. Sorry to hear parts are hard to source for Shimano reels at your location.

Great reels for bigger spinning rigs. I have always been a Shimano guy, but Penn is real nice..

Two real solid reels. I love both my Spinfisher 6 and the Spheros, too. I have the larger Spinfisher, because I want the toughest reel for that size (7500) and a full aluminum body and rotor. In the 6000 size, though, the Spheros is unbeatable for the money.

I got my Spinfisher VI 4500 for like $85 new. Spheros is great, but I couldn’t pass up that bargain!

I did individual tear down with both reels. The only win I see the spinfisher have internally over the spheros is the main gear.

Yes the penn has brass and stainless steel gears the other reel has cheep metal gears so there is a big difference and these to reels I have the 6 spinfisher live liner so I know this 😂😂🤣

I get it! You're a penn fan boy and you love penn. But that doesn't mean penn reels are the best. It have way better reels. And again if you're gonna based your reasoning on main gears alone then you have alot more to learn my friend. Have a good one

@@tackleaddictgy he I base my reels on the gears and case salt has a way off eating up the gears if there not high Quality I can cast any reel and if they have 3 barrings in them there all smooth 🤣🤣😂
