PRO Koryak dropper post installation - external routing

I have a hardtail MTB with a max tube insertion 230mm and my saddle rails are at 220mm from seatpost collar. Why seatpost selector does not provide me the KORYAK DROPPER POST 150mm with external routing?

It does. HT usually means XC bike and for this bike PRO selector tries to use koryak with 70mm of travel. If You'll select enduro bike at start, selector will find dropper 4 U with 15cm of travel 😃

Does it stay in any position or max up/down?

It does have infinite travel between maximum top/bottom. So you can leave it in any position between these points.

DO NOT BUY! Don’t buy this seat-post. This seat-post has failed multiple times on me while on the trails. There is a little 1 mm nylon string that is attached to the actuator. That string is this seat-post is the highest failure point because it constantly snaps after being serviced and replaced multiple times. Not impressed Shimano.

Yeah, Shimano has already changed the thumb lever, so that parts not helpful. And what frame has external cable routing anymore, seriously?

Several titanium frames will require external cable routing.

Older bikes can be upgraded. Why everthing has to be new, Mr. Howard Boryer? I did upgrade my Radon ZR Team 8.0 2016 with it and it works great.

I wrote this snarky comment in middle of installing a new dropper post on my 2016 Trek Fuel. The hardest part by far was routing in the internal cable/housing, (it took me about 5 hours) I was frustrated and came off sounding snobbish and arrogant. So no, not everything has to be new, external cable routing is fine, and a whole lot easier to work on. I did find the Park Tool video on installing a seat post with internal cable routing to be much more informative than this one however.
