Dante being in SMT3 actually has a pretty fun story attached to it. Apparently, the artist at the time was a HUGE fan of Devil May Cry, so he basically lobbied to have the character in the (at the time) development for the re-release. Considering Dante himself was a half demon who's whole job is to fight and exterminate other demons, he fit right in with the setting of the game. Capcom, at the time, were very into experimental ideas and cross promotion, so they gave a green light to it. Thus, Dante became an infamous inclusion to the SMT series for all the best reasons. It was what basically sold SMT3 to the west (He's also an INCREDIBLY scary boss to fight much later in the game, especially since just before that you get to "play tag" with him... it is terrifying). Bonus points, because DMC2 was the latest one at the time, they took the design of DMC2 Dante for SMT3, but made sure he retained the personality of DMC1 Dante (likely because the team probably hadn't played DMC2 yet as it had just come out). In exchange to this, said artist was then hired on to design the Devil Triggers for Dante and Vergil in DMC3, which is why they have a much funkier design than what came before or after. SMT3: Nocturne is a VERY special game amongst the SMT series. Dante is one of the reasons why, along with the variety of design choices and intentions. Oh, btw, you might have missed this, but it's actually possible to talk to Dante right at the beginning of the game before the Conception. He's one of the green NPC icons in the map of Tokyo.

I don't think I ever heard of somebody having trouble with Forneus.. thats a new one! But you guys conquered him in the end and thats pretty cool, you guys even beat Matador, which is significantly harder for newcomers, so good job! (and man that Dante win was so clutch, very, very close one!) I loved the video, was a lot of fun watching people experience this for the first time, you got my sub and I will keep an eye out for more parts of this playthrough which will hopefully turn into a video series!

XD SMT 3 is not hard if you understand the pattern. Go to new location, get new demons, search what is your biggest danger here, fuse demons to get best answer to that, farm to lvl up, go to dungeon/maze, do quest to push story further and repeat until the end of the game. Really This is Demons Souls of JRPG. You can go easy mode by picking all null/reflect/absorb on every element and cheese the game. I made that so you can to XD
