This my sons account, an I've kept it. Thankyou to shinedown, your music is getting me through my time of grief. As in September 2019 only just over 3 months ago,my son sadly lost his fight to live. We only saw you back in December when we went to see Alter Bridge. We had heard a few of your tunes before,but we didn't know who you where. So when we heard monsters an get up,we knew them. We where not going to go to the gig,as my grief tried to hold me back. But our son loved Alter Bridge as much as we did so we did it for him. An found that a group called shinedown would become part of our healing. We love you shinedown, an thankyou for your great tunes. You now have 3 new fans,but I should say 4 because we feel we where ment to go along to the gig,to find you. We believe our son,was saying hey mom/dad connor( his brother) you should hear this band,they will help. An i think that mosters an get up,I'd heard through my son that's how we knew the tunes. Addiction is a symptom of trauma. Need to deal with trauma first before addiction goes. Try Jordan Peterson as a resource. Also dancing releases trauma from the body and don't use any drug that suppresses ptsd nightmares as this is your rem sleep releasing trauma and will feel cold. Cuddles with your hubby.

I met my soulmate at the age of 12, we were young and stupid (still are sometimes lol) and we were off and on until I was 17.. we ended up getting together, staying together, got an apartment, dogs, and got married and on 9/10 (we danced to this song) we’ll be married for 3 years and on 11/25 we’ll be together 5 years.. never give up unless it’s toxic. There is always HOPE!! Don't ever forget that. Everyday we all should one, be positive! Be happy, and caring, and kind. If your feeling down, don't. You have the power to make yourself feel any way you want to so let it be positive. Positive attracts other positive people and sometimes turns negative people into positive people. Number 2, HOPE!! Don't ever ever ever give up. If you believe in it then you can do it. Keep getting back up and fight for what you want. Along with that hope that you'll be safe and healthy today and your family ND friends too. Hope that this is the last time your going to try something cause your gonna do it today. Take all those negative thoughts, bad memories, even good memories that make you miss someone and stuff them way back in your brain away from anything else. Start being happy and thinking positive and when those negative thoughts try to creep into your brain, say oh hell no, and push them back. Immediately think of a positive. If you can do this for 7 straight days, 7 days without a negative thought, then your life is going to change. You'll find your smiling, laughing, having new friends, going to work and dealing with life's issues are easy and you actually look forward to it. I'm telling you all this because I did all this. I was at rock bottom and through the power of positive thinking I got out of that misery and today I'm thriving. Thank you for listening. Hold strong! I also have type 1 diabetes and was in dka when I was admitted. I found out because my parents took me to the doctor after I had lost 50 pounds and vomited after every meal for a month. They thought I was on drugs lol. I was 15 when I was diagnosed. It took 3 years for me to stabilize and now I'm 27 and working as an electrical engineer. It will get better!

Type 2 pre diabetic caused by a metabolic disorder called hypothyroidism where the thyroid gland shrinks to the point of not producing its hormone, my insulin levels can go trough the roof even though I haven't had a single meal and, to this day, people tell me why I ate too much sugars. I enjoy this song. What I take from what is being sung in the song. "The first step is the one you believe in and the second one might be profound." About going off into the unknowns of the future, full of fear and full of hope, you don't know what will happen, but you give it a change off of a faith that it will work out. And secondly it speaks about how changes and growth doesn't happen immediately. Choosing to do something doesn't make it happen, it is the beginning of making it happen.
