Brandon YOU are not alone my friend. I am in the end of a 21 year marriage that she just seems to not care about. She wants it, but doesn't want to put fourth the EFFORT. I have had enough of being the lover, the do everything, the make the effort and I am leaving. It's heart breaking 💔 to know someone you still love doesn't care! I think about her constantly and my mountain bike is my outlet and it loves going and never argues. Hang tough and find outlets for happiness. Start doing things more for you and start new friends. We are together ❤

Even the man in the moon disappeared Somewhere in the stratosphere" Tell my mother Tell my father I've done the best I can To make them realize This is my life I hope they understand I'm not angry, I'm just saying Sometimes goodbye is a second chance Please don't cry one tear for me I'm not afraid Of what I have to say This is my one and only voice, so listen close It's only for today I just saw Hayley's comet, she waved Said "why you always running in place? I remember being 18 years old and being upset with my parents and finally getting ready to get out of the house for good. And I would listen to this song on repeat upon leaving for the Army. This song made me sad, angry, hurt and scared all at once. I was off on my own, to a whole new world and all by myself. It was liberating and terrifying at the same time. But when I came back from my first deployment and listened to this song again, it gave me a new found appreciation for my family, home, and specifically my relationship with my parents. Sometimes goodbye is a second chance, and in my case, it was a second chance.

This song still brings tears to my eyes...being physically disabled young due to severe chronic illness, I never got that "second chance." I get away in my mind. I dream of that day when I get to leave this broken shell of a body behind for good - finally FREE forever!!!! Can't wait! Praying everyday it is soon. Constant, unrelenting physical torture is brutal to endure. No vacations. No days off. 24/7/365. It is a crushingly slow way to die - and it steals everything from you - piece by piece. It takes so much courage to keep living - to try to make everyday meaningful. But by the Grace of God...here's to all the others out there like me. Blessings to all.

I left home a year ago, age 33, because my family were overly dependent on me and I couldn’t bare to leave them. When I left, my died of undiagnosed liver cancer that he just soldiered on with. My mom contracted dementia 2 months ago after going to the hospital for her diabetes (ketosisacidosis). My sister quit school due to bullying and anxiety depression (agoraphobia) When mom hit the hospital I drove home immediately, as we learned that she has the heavy onset of dementia I stayed the 2 months, then left. Again. I notified social services of people in the home, professionals, and an amazing doctor that specializes in this stuff... and I left, scared that if I stayed any longer I’d be stuck forever. Again. I hear you, man. The lyrics hit hard, real hard.

This is a true masterclass in how to write a song. It can hold up in any genre if it were changed; strip it down to acoustic and it gains a whole new weight. I remember the first time that I heard this, it hit extremely hard. Song structure-wise, the verses are short, which gives the prechorus time to set up the massive choruses. As a result, it just keeps on moving, quickly. The verses also are in a way, an additional chorus, since they have a repetitive nature to them. The bridge is incredible, the strings give it another level, same thing with Brent's vocals.....just all stratospheric stuff. Great use of major/ minor chords. The passion and conviction still are there all these years later.

when you relate to the song it just hits different. I grew up with strained/absent relationships with both of my parents. struggled with my mental health for well over a decade and pondered self-deletion multiple times. I couldn't depend on either of them mentally, emotionally, or financially. I had and still have to crawl when many my age can walk and even run, so to speak. I've taken steps to better myself and finally came to terms with the fact that nobody will feel bad for me so i shouldn't keep feeling bad for myself. I landed this new tech job and I'm starting therapy very soon. I will prove my mom wrong. I'll prove to her and my dad that I am not a failure. I pray we are all alive by the time i reach true success, God willing.

I've known since i was 14 when i first heard this song that goodbye would be my second chance. i finally said goodbye when i was 30 and got to hear this song live for the first time a few months after. they were right, it was my second chance at life and I'm living it to the fullest. I'm not just quoting lyrics when i say this band saved my life not once, but twice. I'm so grateful i got to see them live and that Brent saw my sign stating the above. i wouldn't still be alive without them encouraging me to hold on just a little bit longer. I'm finally free from the abuse and happier than ever ❤

This is one of the greatest rock songs ever written. It's the story of my like. I started playing the drums when I was 12. My mother hated it which lead to verbal, emotional, and some times physical abuse. A parent should never step on a child"s dreams! I'm 66 now and it still haunts me!

When I was a teen, I wanted to run so bad. My father died unexpectedly, my mother was a wreck and we fought constantly. My whole family was in shambles. The biggest reason I stayed was for my younger sister. I was the only stability she had left. Now as a parent, I'm determined to do it all different. I don't blame my mom, she was hurting, too. But she wasn't the best mom for those years when I needed her support the most and now she just gaslights me on the topic.

I remember listening to this song when it first came out, it gave me the strength to leave where I wasn't even loved or appreciated so I left, I think this song portrays to people, that if your in a situation where you feel stuck and cannot grow, why the heck even stay, if your family just wants you stuck and can't be successful, you should be allowed to leave. because of this song, I bettered myself and my life. I think people are getting themselves confused thinking it is a suicide song when it is not even describing that in the music video. the song is saying and the video, is that, if your not being appreciated and your loved one's want you stuck, you should be allowed to leave them. it is saying sometimes the right choice isn't as easy as you think, but it takes guts to go ahead and do it.

....Understanding who God is and what He has done for us only comes in knowing who you truly are and your need for a savior. Do You Want to Go to Heaven? forwhatsaiththescriptures.org/do-you-want-to-go-to-heaven/ The Bible declares, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 KJV). Because of sin, none of us can pay the price to enter heaven. Regardless of how many “good” works we do, we are still sinners by birth, unable to merit God’s favor. We have come short of God’s righteous standards. Thus, in order to enter heaven, we need God’s righteousness. The good news is that, through the finished crosswork of Jesus Christ on Calvary, we can be made “the righteousness of God in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV). We can receive God’s righteousness as a free gift! We can receive eternal salvation from our sins! “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV). “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1 KJV). “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8 KJV). “In whom [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7 KJV). “In whom [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14 KJV). “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV). “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:5 KJV). “What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:30,31 KJV). Salvation = Faith + Nothing. It is free to you because Jesus Christ paid the price. Do you believe that? Have you fully trusted in that alone for salvation? Jesus Christ (God manifested in human flesh), in His great love, grace, and mercy, paid the penalty for our sins. The Gospel of the Grace of God which saves lost mankind is: “Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). The Lord Jesus Christ shed His sinless blood to forgive us our sins, but the Bible declares that anyone who rejects the Gospel of Grace will have to pay for his or her sins in the lake of fire for all eternity. When you trust exclusively in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, Jesus Christ’s righteousness will be applied to you. Jesus Christ is perfect, so His righteousness imputed to us is our only means of getting into heaven. Will you trust in Christ Jesus alone as your personal Saviour? I hope you will accept God’s offer today! forwhatsaiththescriptures.wordpress.com/ At this link at the top of the page their is a master list of questions, click and learn how amazing the Lord and His word is....
