This is actually a cover of a song from Lynard Skynard...but has to be one of the best covers i have ever heard...this is really more than just a cover...the original lead guitarist is married to Ronnie VanZant's (Lead singer from Lynard Skynard) daughter and Shinedown and Lynard Skynard are both from Jacksonville Florida...Shinedown started playing at a bar in Jacksonville called Freebird Live (Owned by Ronnie VanZant's widow) and Shinedown used to play this as a tribute to to the late members of that band and as a thank you to Ronnie's widow...the picture the little girl is holding is Ronnie's and the little girl is Ronnie's grand daughter...so this song is more than just a cover for them...if you want to listen to more music from this band i do have to say that you can not find a bad song from them...but i would suggest..."Monster"..."Crow and Butterfly"..."Sound of Madness"..."Second Chance"..."45"...that will get you started...this is a great band with talent and an amazing vocalist...

Shinedown is so underappreciated. I mean FFS I am a metal head/death core guy with kids from 11 to 27 and we all sing and jam with Shinedown.

The lyric's are great but this singer didn't write them, they were written back in the 1970's. You can hear how capable the singer is straight away. There's so much power & emotion behind his voice, he has such a strong singing voice with extremely clear diction too. But you can't beat the O.G's Lynyrd Skynyrd!
