there really is just something about SHINee that I don't think I will ever be able to find in other groups, they really are just something else and hold a different type of talent that I don't know whether anyone else will ever be able to achieve. Kibum knew we needed that bit of silence at the end just to absorb the PHENOMENAL fabulousness we just experienced. As an 80s kid (‘81), this slays every bit of nostalgia heaven for me. I haven’t found ANYONE that slays this genre like Kibum/Key. Sure, there are those who do a good job, but Kibum OWNS this concept. He doesn’t just emulate the era-he drags it into the present and makes it HIS. I’ve been listening/watching to this nonstop since premiere and the whole album will be on repeat for the foreseeable future.

you can't get over being amazed by SHINee vocals even after 15 years. for me it is just 6 years but nooo still get shocked by them. onew is in the top of that. I listen to whole Circle album every night to get better sleep

CIRCLE, the song AND album are absolute MASTERPIECES…and I don’t say that lightly. There isn’t a single skippable song. Usually, I’ll shuffle an album, but this is so perfectly put together and cohesive that I literally just play it on an endless loop practically 24/7. Asleep, at work, whilst driving…the only times I really pause is when I check out reactions and watch the MV. The concert was spectacular, as well. I wish I could own it on DVD so I could watch it whenever, but I’m happy I at least bought the re-stream so I’ll get another chance. Back to this song, though…it feels and sounds GRAND. The sound is full-to-bursting in the best possible way and Jinki’s vocal acrobatics and layering are pristine, ethereal, immaculate, and truly unmatched. The backing choir adds to the grandeur and I can just picture an orchestra and full choir backing him in a venerated hall with a packed house sitting in absolute rapture…the living silence beating like a heartbeat several measures after the last note fades before the entire audience explodes into applause and accolades. The song truly feels, for lack of a better explanation, just that grand. All this without once mentioning the LYRICS! Good gracious, they’re literal poetry. Words to live by…words we all need to hear… On those waves, we drift together Different faces Differently shaped hearts Not lacking nor sufficient They are beautiful as they are Below the same sun Casting differеnt shadows We are, we arе We’re all different, but all the same. We may look differently, believe differently, love differently, etc, but we’re all one. We laugh, love, cry, bleed, grieve, rejoice…but we tend to overlook those similarities and instead fear our differences. We should instead celebrate those differences! Could you imagine if every single flower was instead a red rose? No other flower existed. What would make it special? What value would it have? Yes, it’s pretty…it smells sweet…but to never experience the fields of brightly colored tulips, the sweet fragrance of honeysuckle, the splash of red poinsettias in winter… How sad would that be? The same can be said for people. There’s so much beauty in differences. Gah…I’ve gone off on a tangent and, though I’ve considered deleting it, I’ll instead leave it here. Kudos if you’ve stuck around and read it in its entirety. lol

I agree with Key's mv about not having a storyline, but there is. He has said there is, but hasn't explained it. There is a KZbinr who pieces Bad love, Gasoline, and Killer as a whole storyline fantastically and it makes sense! I was blown away. Her channel name is Tors1e. If you can see how she pieces it altogether, it will give you an appreciation the puzzle pieces Key put together. He had a storyline that isn't as straightforward, but doesn't SHINee do that all the time lol. It makes sense because he had bsides for Gasoline when working on Bad Love and seemed he had worked on songs that would be put in Gasoline while working on Bad Love as shown in his release of Another Life that was shown in concert when Bad Love had been released. He had talked about behind the scenes of killer that he purposely put Gasoline in between Bad love and killer .... so really he worked on all these albums and songs and concepts at the same time or at least the work overlapped with each other.

Actually some fans say all members are in the Circle MV: the dinos represent jjong, the keys represent Key, the football represents Minho, the mushrooms represent Taemin (although I don't know why xD) and yes, the rabbits represent Onew ❤️ Also I know Onew struggled with mental health after Jjongs passing so the "I'm fine" could be a reference to either one of them... SO many references to books and movies as well! BTW Key said he's not regretting having broken up nor is he heartbroken, his former gf/relationshit is just haunting him.

Okay I'm back, Killer first. I loved everything about this, the vocals, the music, the choreo and of course the visuals, everything on point and top tier. But we've come to expect nothing less from Key because he's an artist and he's true to himself. There are other comments that explain details about this video better than I can. But I noticed something in a closeup of his face, he has 2 dots above one eye and 3 dots below his other eye, 5 dots for SHINee? Just guessing about that. Lastly, Key got me interested in this genre of music, because I liked it when I heard it, back in the 80's, but I didn't love it, until now!

I burst into tears watching Circle. More than once. Funny thing is that Jinki id an actore, but tbh, I think this song is him. No acting, just him. Way, which he wrote (with Kim Aena, who wrote Circle), carries similar themes. Key said that his Retro chapter has ended - I can't wait to hear what he does next!!

today in making clip of MV Onew said that story book scene represents the childhood memories, innocent mind may be child in us. and the stage with darkness represent our abyss in heart, the darkness, gloominess and the pink background (the cloth) where onew look amazing in white outfit is resting in the whale.😶 I don't know where he get that kind of idea. ( may be from Pinocchio. ) but can relate. it's like where we want to be alone and rest without spending mytime may be.

You should check the Circle MV making video, Onew talked about a view representations in the MV. And here’s my interpretation : Let’s say there are four characters in total : -Reality (turtleneck in an abandoned school), -Inner Self (white shirt in vinyl tunnel), -Happy Memories (child in a TV set), -Dark Memories (dark coat in an attic) Connections : 1. Reality : he is the real person, he is the only one can be seen with a more complex mixture of emotions (happy, gloomy, worried, carefree, etc.) also the only one can be seen wandering around, indoor, outdoor, not confined in one space, so I assume he is the ‘real’ person. 2.Inner Self : Onew said that the vinyl tunnel represents a whale’s belly. It’s supposed to be a safe place, a place he can rest and be at ease, it also in connection to the song he has written on his previous album called In The Whale. His emotions are mostly calm and comforting. These two characters are connected, they are communicating with the intercoms. Reality can be seen pacing around like he has a lot of thoughts, hesitating whether or not he should talk to his Inner Self. And Inner Self, without being asked, will talk to him anyway, in a comforting manner, helping Reality to feel at peace. 3.Happy Memories : he said that this set represents a child’s heart, a lost innocence, and inner child we all have. He can be seen mostly happy and curious. But he is confined to just one TV show set because he is just a memory. He is in front of the camera because people see their past memories like a movie. 4.Dark Memories : for this one Onew said represents the abyss in one’s heart, radiating such dark and gloomy emotions. He is also confined to a small attic. Instead of sad, he looks more haunting, he also makes some dramatic moves under the spotlight. He is on a stage under the spotlight, because with Dark Memories, people then to highlight it. Instead of remembering dark memories like a movie, we tend to dramatize it, it can easily make people feel overwhelmed. Also sometimes dark memories are as hard to forget as good ones. Whether we like it or not, it will always be there, on the stage and be seen. We just need to find a way to deal with it. I think these two characters are also connected, by the stairs and floating door (I think it leads to the attic). The cat only exists in these two places, so I assume that the cat represents the loved ones who are always there for you, through your happiness and darkness. That’s why it’s the only side character interacting with him. There’s a lot of still characters in the TV sets, meanwhile in the attic it’s almost empty, so it might means how lonely it can get when you’re in the dark. And these four main characters, if crossed by connections (Reality - Inner Self X Happy - Dark Memories) the center connecting point will make one whole person. So these four elements are basically what makes us human. We are complex, same but different, all just cycling through life, so let’s just comfort each other. I think that is what he wanted to express. So that this MV is not just personal but also universal. (But of course these all just my random theories on too of what he said behind it so yea lol, sorry for the long comment!)

Next, Circle. Your reaction when you first heard his voice, join the club because that's pretty much all of us, Every .. Single.. Time! Yes, the song is basically the circle of Onews life and every life. The good and bad times all circle around, even if we lose the memories, something is left, when time moves on. Onew said the overall message of the song is hope 🥰. I've read online that this album is the most like Onew/Jinki so far. I'm happy that he gets to be himself musically. When I heard SHINee in 2022, I was drawn to Jonghyun and Minho, but the first bias wrecker was Onew singing Rainy Blue. OMG, I got chills/goosebumps and I almost cried! I listened to songs where his vocals were most prominent, then I saw Taemins solos and finally I saw what Key was doing (Bad Love and Gasoline anyone?). My bias is 5HINee, end of story😍🤣
