Shintani Style Tato (OC) | Speed Draw

A drawing challenge I did with my DB OC Tato. Tried to mimic Naohiro Shintani's art style from "Dragon Ball Super: Broly". This was also my part of a collab with my friend @/BlackRexArt on Twitter, his drawing / 1354923383100764162

Hey man mind telling me how you work with the lineart? i figured out that you use vector layers and then change the weight of the lines but i cant quite put my finger on it. I would really appreciate if you can answer!

my friend did the composition for the final thing in AE so I wouldn't know, but the vector method is another way or you can just use a default pen and do it manually (which is a pain in the ass)

Amazing! I don't know if it's asking too much, but if possible, could you please name the brushes used? Or at least how did you manage to get the "irregular" stroke effect (in the style of the DBS: Broly movie) at the end?

I think he used a vetor layer for line art, and added pressure with the redraw width tool, since he appears to be using CSP. You could also uses a pressured brush. There's more for the rest of the look, if you're still curious.

This is a good drawing but it's terrible either way That's not a action scene Just ask "Totally not Mark" he'll tell you that shintani makes those lines in non-action scenes

The line filter? Because no that’s used in every drawing lmao, and it’s not even something Shintani does it’s Toei compositing
