well, gallade came after gardevoir and if they made the whole evolution line 100% female, then gallade wouldn't exist. Also, other pokemon like lopunny, primarina, delphox, and audino (the starters are 87.5% male!) are feminine aswell, so I think it's not that farfetch'd (pun intended)
