1/8192 is absolutely nuts. Even the new 1/4096 odds are nuts. It blows my mind knowing that tens of thousands of people could play pokemon their entire lives and NEVER encounter a random shiny.

Finally got to sit down and watch this whole hunt!! What a journey, and what a DREAM shiny in Gen 3. It was very fun to watch you bunny hop live and see all your progress on this hunt. I can only hope you can find a place to find the Zigzagoon that will ring in 2023 now that you have this!! I'm still baffled by the disappearing Lotad. I wonder if we'll ever solve the answer to that mystery (I really hope we don't find out by seeing it happen again!) You and Brendan both finding this beaut have definitely been inspiring for me to pick up where I left off 3 years ago with just one phase (which was a Wurmple I still haven't uploaded LOL). One of these days, I will hop back on that bike and hop in place for an expected 10 phases, too

Congrats on your hunt! Ralts is such a great shiny to get in gen 3. I'm having phase hell currently, as I've been trying to get a Kecleon out of Platinum's Great Marsh. On Phase 17 with only 4 shiny Pokemon caught. It's not fun but I can't stop.

Watched the video and got motivated to turn on my GB SP, 1 hour later I found a shiny Zigzagoon, couldn't tell the difference at first on my screen, but felt it looked weird, threw a pokeball anyways and checked later and it was shiny. Insane luck!
